These are beautiful, top quality platters. I wanted these to use as plates for xmas dinner and was hesitant due to cost and fearing they may not be suitable for that.They are worth the money and the size will make ideal plates for a big meal, room to cut and move food around. They are a beautiful colour and weight, to me exactly as description. Will have multiple uses for them and I'm so glad I bought them.They were packaged to perfection. Fully padded in box and card included to inform them of any problems. Great buy!

These are nice looking serving plates and were big enough to serve a turkey crown for 6 people and a large portion of potatoes - it made serving Christmas dinner a lot easier!Coupled with a pair of large serving spoons, it makes serving any dinner painless. It also has the advantage of keeping the presentation of dishes a bit more impressive, instead of having everything already cut up and put on plates before serving.

I'm after oval plates of good quality,nowadays we cook things and the food is placed on a plate but things happen like the food needs reheating? we have microwaves to reheat the food or drink but your oval plates are tooooooo wide,yes they may go in at an angle but are not able to turn.You say you have alot of experience? where is it then if I can point out that the sizes are wrong,you have to get your facts right and do some research on oven space.I use my multi purpose microwave to heat things from small to big & I pre heat plates before putting food onto them but things can go wrong and the food needs that extra bit of heat.Round plates I think would be useful in a microwave but oval they must be sized to fit microwaves because other foods might be on the go to be place on an oval plate.
