ALTRAMen's Lone Peak 7 Trail Running Shoe

I bought these shoes for a trip to Europe with the anticipation of walking a lot.Over the course of 9 days I probably walked close to 100 miles in these shoes. I have somewhat wide feet so I the wide toe box was great. The shoes were very comfortable and my feet were never sore at the end of the day.They seem to be holding up really well so far. I’ve continue to wear them for a couple weeks since I’ve been home from my vacation. They have now become my daily shoe of choice.I personally think they look good. Some people think they like silly due to the wide toe box. I think it looks like an outdoorsy backpacker “style”. Plus, IDGAF what others think.I would absolutely buy these again. I’m actually going to look for another pair.

Have put about 50 miles on them so far so not sure about durability. But they held up great for Grand Canyon rim-to-rim. Very lightweight and comfortable if you're used to barefoot shoes with a wide toe box and no drop. The sole is still very strong which is nice for hiking shoes, you don't feel rocks under your feet. Water resistant, my socks don't get wet unless the water actually gets in over the heel or laces.

I'm not normally pushed by sales people very often about trying something that I'm not interested in. But I has a lady saleswoman tell about thes shoes. She went and got a pair from the back and said try them on. They're new from Colorado and are pretty nice. So I tried them on and we'll they were comfy and just Awsome right off the get go. I didn't buy them that day but hadn't forgotten about them so I ended up purchasing them from Amazon. First pair was a10 I decided to return and go with the 10.5. I really like them. Very comfortable and very lightweight. We'll see how they wear and last.

Overall it's a good shoe. very comfortable good grip. but for me the ego mid sole is to soft. feels unstable on uneven terrain like rocks and roots. Try before you buy normally wear 9.5 but ended up needing a 10.5 and fits great

The shoes fit well and are very comfortable. I like Altra Lone peak shoes so much they are pretty much my go to shoes. Walking, hiking, and running.

Use these for backpacking. Work great, dry fast. True to size.

Wide tow box, great piercing resistance, and light enough.

Love the shoe, dislike the laces! Would have rated them a 5 star if it wasn’t for the change in laces. I have been wearing Altras for several years now mostly because of the extra tow box room.

I do quite a bit of hiking including long day hikes and the occasional backpacking trip in the mountains here in Alberta. I used to use hiking boots and have tried at least 4 or 5 different ones, but I would always get nasty blisters somewhere.The last few years I've kept trying progressively lighter shoes and I've ended up using Altra Lone Peak as my favorite. I used a pair of Lone Peak 4's for a number of years and they did very well. Comfortable over long distances, enough strength in the sole for walking on rocky ground, and NEVER any blisters. They also dry fast, so you can just wade through stream crossings and they'll dry out quickly.I've tried out my new Lone Peak 7s on a few hikes and they are even better than the 4's. The Lone Peaks have always had a wide toe box, but the 7's have a little more height at the toe which I like a lot.The other thing I love about them is I can tie them tightly for descents so my feet don't slide and have my toes hit the end of shoe. No more black toenails!
