Barbell Neoprene Dumbbell Weights, 5 lb Pair, Violet

Ordered these weights to be a little healthier and get moving, hopefully to build some muscle mass. Best price I could find and with a little rack. Photo with tissue box for size reference. We love the compact design and very functional. Store right by our TV so we can pick them up and have a few reps if we are lounging, pairing an unhealthy sedentary habit with a good one! Shipping took longer than we are used to (most things arrive same day, or at most in a day or two but this took closer to a week). All weights had a good coating, no smell. Perfect and easy to grab hold of and work out for strength training. Will see if we can order more from this brand as we get stronger.

Got these on sale so value was awesome! Quality is great and the rubber coating is great for not beating up the floors. Coating also makes gripping effortless. Makes basic workouts very easy and effective.

Barbells were well packed and arrived in pristine condition. The rubbery texture makes them very non-slip and easy to hold.

Exactly what I was looking for to add to my home workouts. They're good quality and the most affordable set I could find. The stand is small and can be put out of the way eaily.

This CAP 100 Pound Neoprene Dumbbell Set arrived nicely packaged in three boxes. The stand was easy to assemble and is sturdy. There are a couple of sharp edges, so I have them covered with tape to avoid getting poked. Most of the edges are rounded, but these were missed in the rounding process. The weights themselves look nice and are very colorful. However, as you can see from my pictures, each one has at least one small slice/cut in the neoprene. Some weights have 4 or 5 of these cuts. I'm not happy with this because I worry that in the future they might get bigger and end up peeling off. The neoprene is a bit tacky, but that's fine, probably keeps my hands from slipping. The grip portions of the weights get bigger with the weight size; maybe that's typical. My hands are small, and when I use the heavier weights, it's a little more difficult to hold them. Overall, this is a nice set, but I'm going to be super careful with them so the covering doesn't worsen. I prefer these dumbbells to the adjustable dumbbells, much more versatile.

I am no expert in dumbbells, but I am happy so far with this very recent purchase. It arrived a week after ordering. The rack and each pair of dumbbells were in separate boxes, so there were six boxes total. One of the dumbbell boxes was slightly damaged but it didn't affect the dumbbells themselves. The rack requires assembly. I'm terrible at this sort of task, but even I found it to be quite straightforward, though a little elbow grease was required to tighten the bolts. There's an allen wrench included for the nuts but you need your own adjustable wrench to fit the bolts to tighten them. It takes a little time because there are a number of bolts to screw into place. I suggest leaving them all just slightly tightened until it is completely assembled so you can align things to your satisfaction before final tightening of the bolts. I couldn't get the top piece to fit exactly flush but it is close enough. The rack is sturdy and the dumbbells seem to be good quality. I noticed reviews for another dumbbell set from this company complained about a toxic rubber smell. These are neoprene-coated and I may notice a faint smell when I hold one next to my nose but nothing in the least bothersome. One of the rubber guards on the rack is not glued in place so I have to deal with that minor headache. So there are two minor issues (the loose rubber guard and the slight misalignment on the top piece) neither of which is a big deal at all. I'd give 4.5 stars if that were an option, and the price (especially the discounted Black Friday price I got) make these a really good deal. If you are a newbie, be aware that these may be too light for stronger people as the heaviest dumbbell pair is only 15 pounds each. These are perfect for me to get started toward my goal of increasing my strength and they may be for you too. [Edit] I'm reading other reviews indicating that some received one pair of dumbbells that were not black as all the others are. For the record, mine are all black. I'd definitely be miffed if one set weren't, because it would be a hassle to return everything and then hope a replacement was all black. Seems like a simple enough quality control issue for the company to address. Better yet, offer a selection of colors (for the entire set, not mix and match within the set).

They are neoprene covered and are a perfect weight. What is not to like? Great product. I got the 8 pound pair.

A little bit long, but all in all the covering is very comfortable in the hand and gives a good grip.

Bought this kit. Was hard to find them at a great deal as many listings are over priced due to scarcity of dumbbells' right now. Paid $45 for the kit. Dumbbells' are well made, stand is plastic but very sturdy. Now looking for an 8lbs pair. Some sellers want more than $100 for 8lbs when I bought as set of 6 and stand for less than half of that. Also have the larger CAP set 10 - 30 with steal stand. Also awesome!

These are seriously just as pictured, excellent quality weights. Frame is thin so be careful but you shouldn't have any problems!
