Teng M380042c Spark Plug Socket 18mm 3/8 Square Drive

Good item delivered quickly at good price. Access to the plugs on my Triumph is very tight but this fits good and did the job for me.

Decent socket, however the rubber insert came out so I glued it in. No dramas since.

Teng is a top name in tools but the rubber insert to hold the spark plug in the socket stays on the spark plug when re-inserting the spark plug, this is quite a problem (as I found out) for awkward access deep spark plugs on motorbikes. Having finally got the rubber insert back I seem to have solved the problem by sticking the rubber insert back into the socket using double sided tape but I expected better from Teng. Otherwise the socket looks well made & is thin wall, ideal for motorbikes. I just hope the insert does not come off again.

Fantastic bit of kit. Do not push your plug too far into this socket, as soon as you feel resistance is far enough it will not drop out and this way when you pull out your ratchet the plug drive will still be attached to the said ratchet.

I am rebuilding an old Kawasaki motorcycle and found it impossible to access the spark plugs as they are in a very awkward space. The sides of this socket are thin enough to enable me to finally get the plugs out and, being Teng, it is very well made.

There's not much to say; it's well made with thin walls so it fits the narrow placement of many bike plugs, yet still has a rubber insert to protect the plug. It seems strong, it fits the ratchet and extension of my socket set: what else is there to say? Recommended
