It’s amazing how many times you need just a bit more height to complete tasks. I ordered this one because of the Addis brand name and am not disappointed with the quality of the plastic and it’s sturdiness. I am not exactly light and there is no give when I stand on this and because of that you feel nice and secure. It is lightweight and would be easy to store, but i’m sharing it with a recent addition to the family - an elderly cat from the RSPCA, who needs assistance to jump up on the sofa, so when I’m not using it that’s where it’s left for him. All in all a very versatile and practical bit of kit.

At 4ft 11ins I need this stool to reach things in the higher kitchen cupboards and to get in and out of my very high bath. Sturdy and safe.

A design that has stood the test of time: it is light and sturdy and they stack well if you need more than one. Suitable to step on to reach something on a high shelf or sit on if working on something quite low. Perhaps a bit too light to use for exercise by stepping on and off. Rated for 150 kg, beware if you use the stool as an intermediate step: stepping back down, it is easy to exert a force 2 or more times your weight. There is a weakness in the middle of the platform, where there used to be a fold-down handle: when the handle was done away with, the plastic housing was deleted without reinforcement to replace the strength provided by the housing: look for cracks in the webs in this area.
