I am a huge fan of stainless steel of sterling silver flat back screws over the ball back screw backs and insert backs. I like that I was able to hold onto the flat back and screw it on tightly to the earring without issues of losing grip and losing the back screw. These flat back screws are the perfect replacement for my earrings. I was worried that they would not fit but they do. All my earrings fit the 20g. Not sure what I’ll do with 18g but I am sure one day I’ll have earrings that will need the 18g.

I bought a collection of studs that have screw back discs. They are easy to lose if you drop one. These extra backs fit perfectly!

These are fine, but didn’t work for me

Tiny balls and slippery fingers don't go hand in hand. Many innocent balls were lost to the dark recess of the house.These fit the standard 18G external thread labrets, it's snug and haven't come off after 3 months of continuous use. They are a bit bigger than my original backings but I don't mind, it actually makes it easier to hold onto. I learned my lesson to use a polishing cloth to hold onto the backing so it doesn't slip away.These won't fit all threaded jewelry, as the threading is sightly different.Also these came in s tiny clear plastic box, which is great! These won't get lost as easily.

I bought these for my diamond earrings that came with screw backs. The backs that came with them fell off twice while I was sleeping. I've had these for over a month now with no issues.
