Regular purchase.
Perfect colour everytime, this is a regular purchase for me alongside another colour. Reliable brand which is important as I have come across so many that discontinue or rarely have stock.

Easy to apply and colour exactly as shown.
Absolutely beautifully bright pink hair and really easy to apply.I had previously bleached my hair so it took really well and so far, it doesn't appear to be fading as much as other brands.

Finally. White blonde hair after 31 years!!
This stuff is awesome. I've bleached my naturally blonde hair for the last 31 years trying (& always failing!) to achieve a white blonde. I've purchased every blue/violet shampoo available & although they do work well in reducing/eliminating the yellow brassy tones, I've never managed to achieve platinum perfection. I bought this after being impressed with the results my daughter had with the turqoise one, but when it came & I opened it I was incredibly disappointed. It's a pale violet colour, no discernable scent & a wierd (not unpleasant) slimy texture. I held out no hope of it doing anything at all to be honest. Anyway, bleached roots, then shampoo'd hair & as per instructions applied this for 15 minutes. Rinsed hair, conditioned it, then left it to air dry naturally. I'm honestly in total shock, I now have stunning, white blonde/platinum hair!! I'm truly amazed at how brilliant it is, if you saw it in the tub you just wouldn't believe it could do anything at all, let alone create the results it has. I've still got half the tub left too (even though I have waist length hair!) so I'll get 2 goes out of it. A little seems to go a long way. I think in future I'll condition my hair before I use it though, as because my hair is like straw before conditioning it was really hard to spread it evenly throughout my hair (it felt saturated) but I didn't do a completely even job as I've got a couple of patches where I clearly didn't put enough and/or put too much. My own fault though, so not complaining, just hopefully giving a helpful tip. I didn't condition as I thought it might affect the efficacy of the product, but having used it now & seeing how good it is, I think I could/should have conditioned to ensure even coverage. Cannot recommend this enough.

Still meh
I remember when this first came out. It was meh then, and it's still meh.Sure it goes on well enough, it smells nice enough and seems to do the job as it's setting. But the moment you rinse your hair, it covers every surface in your bathroom with that colour. It's stained the tiles, it's stained the towels, .. everything but my hair. Top tip, spray cleaner on the surfaces before rinsing. Rinse until the water runs clear? No chance, it never runs clear. Black dye, ran into a mauve (black is made of many colours). And that's the first time rinsing it after application, even if you don't shampoo your hair and just wet and condition it, you the water is coloured every time.Touching your dry hair, shouldn't transfer colour on to your skin. The first time you shampoo your hair, it's nearly all gone. My pillows are covered in dye. My towels are covered in dye. My hair isn't. It doesn't last the number of washes that typical semi-permanent dyes do, it's good on the day and after that depends on how badly you bleached your hair. I used the black dye 10 days ago, I only shampooed once after 8 days. It's practically washed out completely. The only plus side is that it bled down into the other colour and is now a funky blue/purple (it was green). You get what you pay for. I've tried a few non-permanent brands and the best one so far is the ArticFox brand, they don't do a black though on here, which is why I gave Directions one last punt.If your professional salon uses these, walk out of that salon. The very least they should be using Elumen!

Good for one time use, but STAINS
I did read all the reviews and recommendations about staining but I've never had to use gloves on the washing out of dye and my hands were covered in green for this! Came out after a day on my hands but still on my nails for an extra 2 days. The colour itself is really nice on day one and I can't complain about that as I didn't need to bleach to prep and only applied colour to my darker underlayers and it took really well (my hair normally doesn't take well so that's amazing!) I do feel I'm now at one wash and it's already quite faded, but again I applied it to dry hair not wet like instructed so that might be on me. I'd recommend for like a festival or something where you want quick vibrant colour but want to let is fade after
