There are lots of phone mounted available, and I've had various types of the years, but I wanted something that didn't need to stick to the windscreen and would be nice and quick to put a phone on and off. My phone case happened to have a magnet in it, so I thought I would give this a go. On his front I found my phone will fall off the holder when going over bumps in the road - however this is the fault of the magnet in my phone case not being strong enough. The phone mount comes with some sticky Magnets, so we then tried putting these on the inside of the phone case - these magnets are really strong! Using the supplied sticky Magnets my phone stays in place over all road bumps (my phone is one of the larger ones available). We then used one of the other magnets in the pack with my wife's phone which is much smaller - again this stays on without any suggestion it might fall off. The lighter phone means we have to remove it from the holder by tilting the phone slightly otherwise the magnets will hold it in place - perhaps this is testament to the quality of the clips on the back of the phone holder attaching to the air vent of the car as pulling the phone won't just pull the mount out with the phone,so a big thumbs up for this. Overall this has worked really well and means we have a mount in each of our cars and can put either of our phones in either car mount without having to make any adjustments,so it's nice, simple and quick to use. Overall very happy, very impressed with the holder especially at this price and I would highly recommend

Such a simple but fantastic idea

I bought the previous version of these and they were a better fit in a Saab 93 than these.That is because the old version had slimmer 'grippers' for the vents and could go anywhere. The 'grippers' on these are significantly wider and this means that they only fit into vent holes which are fairly wide.The gripping power is good however, and they stick really well once they are in. The magnets are also very strong and keep even heavy devices safely in place, even on the bumpiest roads.I therefore decided to keep them. I then modified them by removing the grippers, and instead fixed them to the dashboard with strong double-sided 3M tape. This solution works really well - and also keeps my vents clear.I am happy to recommend these, but only for cars with sturdy vents and large vent holes - or to those who don't mind modifying them a bit.

Does exactly what is needed of it.

A while ago I bought a phone holder that sticks to the windscreen and it kept falling off, becoming really difficult to reattach while driving. Just a pain all around, and have to take it out of the glove box and stick it when needed, then take off when no longer needed.I figured there must be a better solution and found this small magnet holder. It was cheap so worth a go, but it's been one of the best purchases I've made recently. It's easy to stick the magnet inside your phone case and the main magnet is strong enough that I've had no issues with the phone falling on drives that are hours long.It was particularly amazing on a recent trip where I rented a car. Fit easily in my bag as it's tiny, just stick in to the air vent and you can use your phone if the car doesn't have GPS built-in.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve recently been doing some driving for a logistics company.. in and out of various vehicles and using Google maps a lot for navigation.. it’s really useful if I can mount the phone where I can see it . I’ve used the more expensive ‘suction on window’ type of holder, they are more robust and secure but twice the price+ of these cheaper clip on. These clip on work well - as long as the vans / car has slatted air vents not the round type! First view they looked to be solid, the magnet feels strong enough .. video explains more .. hope it helps 👍( ❌ update a few weeks in after one of the mounts failed.. the magnets as I mention in the video are pretty strong.. over a few weeks it led to the magnetic pad pulling away from the clip that pushes into the air vent.. … see picture.. I’ve glued it back now with araldite )
