It may smell interesting before you smoke it, but once you smoke it, it just smells like "smoke" with not much flavors left behind.That's when these essential oil come in. It adds the flavor to the smoking it desperately needs.You can add additional fruit notes or coffee. For instance, you can do any of the combination to Negroni, it gives more pleasant experience than just a smoking.I am a professional bartender working at one of the luxury hotels. Making cocktails a little more exciting is something we've delved into, and it's fun when entertaining friends. It doesn't take much to make a drink more exciting in it's presentation.I used this with a smoking dome as I don't yet have a bubble attachment, but the effect is basically the same albeit a little less fancy.The apple aroma was bright, but not overpowering. There isn't a lot of flavor that's added to the drink, but it's the intro to the drink if that makes sense. It's similar with wood smoking cocktails.The bottles are small but a little goes a long way and the price is negligible when you consider what cocktails like this cost when going out.

They smell closer to "smoke" than the Flavor Blaster brand but still don't smell like real smoke. I won't be using them on cocktails.
