Simple, quality product, perfect for our desk. Looks great. 60 watt bulb max. White glass shade provides ambient lighting. Nice brushed aluminum surface.

I have ordered this lamp twice now as a gift, and each time it has come in with a shattered lamp shade so I've had to return it. Either the product is poorly made or it's is not being packaged properly. It's probably a nice lamp but I guess I'll never know.

I was looking for a relatively small bankers lamp for my desk, and this was just what I was looking for. It's not too big and it gives plenty of light. The base is a little larger than I would have liked, but it is nice and sturdy. It was easy to put together and I like that the shade swivels so that you can adjust the angle of the light to where you want it. It looks really nice on my desk and it was great value for the money.

Together the light bulb socket and the light bulb base take up half of the space within the shade, so that the actual lit part of the bulb is positioned in the other half - making it look like you've got a bulb out on one side. Other than that the quality of the lamp is good for the price and the base heavy enough so it won't tip over. I would have loved it if it didn't look dumb for having only one side of the shade actually lit.

The lamp looks okay, but it was very difficult to put together since there is about a foot of excess cord that has to be jammed into the stem of the lamp as you're trying to thread the stem to the base and then to the top. Haven't a clue why it has so much excess cord. Wish it came already assembled!!

Well made and easy to assemble. I like the while glass bulb cover that allows light through. Solved a dark corner problem in my home office. Works great with standard bulbs or compact florescent bubs.

Cord was cut in two, I had to shorten it so the cut would fit inside the stem of the lamp. Used electrical tape to splice the cord together.The first lamp like this I purchased was in perfect shape, this one not so much . I will look elsewhere should in need to purchase a third lamp..

I've always wanted a bankers lamp for my home office, but my wife vetoed the traditional green/bronze variety. I was excited to find this one and the price was very reasonable. The item was packaged very well with plenty of Styrofoam keeping the various pieces safe. Assembly was a breeze, just thread the cord through and then screw in either side of the stem. The lamp takes a 60w bulb and you can even use the new flourescent varieties because the white glass is shaded enough to soften the brightness.Only one star removed because there were some black scuff marks on the glass covering that needed to be scrubbed to remove. Ultimately it looks good, but I'd expect it to come looking good originally.
