THE HOUSE ACROSS THE LAKE

This is one of my favourite thriller books!! Simply awesome..fast paced read .. can’t get your hands off ..

A totally unexpected angle that comes with the thriller. Really impressed by the story that took an unexpected turn at the end. A great read

Though premise is very good, twist and turns are breathtaking, the supernatural flavour added is not acceptable. I felt cheated, deceived, because I started the book with the intent to get some good mystery and thrilling moments, instead I get supernatural horror thriller, which is unacceptable on my part. A crime thriller must be rational and should be treated logically and rationally. I have read all Riley Sager books, and I never disappointed, but this one disappoints me.

Awesome thriller and suspense

Casey Fletcher is a widow who has been living alone in her family lake house, drowning in alcohol and her grief over her husband's death. Casey passes her day drinking and watching her neighbours with a pair of binoculars. Casey becomes friendly with her new neighbour, Katherine Royce who lives across the lake. She becomes obsessed by watching Katherine and Tom Royce's picture perfect life and soon realised it was not as perfect as she thought. One night Casey sees something suspicious, and the next day Katherine is missing. Can Casey uncover the mystery behind Katherine's disappearance? This is a psychological suspense thriller. The writing style was creepy, mind blowing with jaw dropping twists and turns. There are trigger warnings like alcoholism, death, kidnapping, gaslighting and mental illness. Although it starts off a little slowly, as it picks up, it will leave you on the edge of your seat. The character buildup was amazing; it made each and every person suspect. Moreover, the ending left me in complete shock. Overall this book was a rollercoaster.

The book is fast paced and will keep you guessing and on the edge , and trust me you will not be able to guess the end…unputdownable

Just wait for the twist, not the one in the start but the one deeper in the book. Its a good read for the weekends

OMG, didn't predict the suspense to be chilly, spooky, but who am I kidding. Riley Sager’s book are known to be surprising and best murder mysteries. Loved it!!
