I really like the way it smooths my waves/curls when I used less than the directions said. I realized when they said start with a cap full that was for people with longer hair than I have. Once I adjusted that I do like it a lot. I kinda if smooth the top where I want it to go then let air dry. It’s always better after I sleep on it for a night LOL

Great gel for adding moisture and protecting hair from the sun. It makes my curls look shinier and more defined, but it can feel a bit greasy and heavy if touched. Still, it's effective at keeping hair hydrated and looking great throughout the day!

This item needs more than 5 stars. It deserves every single award for hair care and softness and keeping my curls. Thank you Miss Jessie I shall be buying more of this product and the rest of the line just because it is simple the best.I am not a big fan of twisting my hair after every wash, sometimes I like the natural form of the curls (majority of times), so I went through all the reviews and happened to read a lot on this item so I decided to give it a try. My hair type is 3B and I am a mixed Caribbean woman so all that beautiful cohesion is also represented in my hair. Now with all that kink there are very few products that actually works in holding the curls whether twisted or not. After the first use of this item just rubbing a small amount on half wet hair the results are amazing. The curls started forming immediately and I fell asleep on them :( when I woke up to think I will be seeing a big poof as I probably should I woke to amazing curls, already formed and in place and all i had to do was push the strays in place.Not only that, my hair is so soft.Now the true test lies in the overnight process, again without wrapping my hair etc I slept with my hair down. When I woke my curls are still there (a bit crushed of course) however after re-applying a small amount and rubbing in my hair the curls seem rejuvenated and back to life. My hair is literally curls goddess right now. I keep getting so much compliments I think I have to share this secret with them :).Again thank you Miss Jessie, thank you for understanding a mix woman hair and curls, I cant wait to use the other products in your line.

Please know that I mean this as a compliment: this stuff reminds me of the soft hold LA Looks gel that I used to use in the 90s. It doesn't crunch at all. It also doesn't hold strong hair into defined curls, but it does keep my wavy/curly hair under better control than serum alone. My hair is fairly coarse, pretty dry, 2c curl type - Jelly Soft Curls helps my waves and curls clump a bit, but it doesn't give them much more shape than they would have had without product. It doesn't dry my hair out. This gel is a good pick if you just sort of want to define what you already have. It won't make you curlier than you already are, and it won't give you curls that aren't already there. It's great for a bit of soft definition that moves and doesn't crunch. Also, I'm picky about smells and I don't mind this smell. It just smells softly clean, sort of like a mild bubble bath.

I have to start out by saying this gel is a true gel as it is very thick and stiff coming out of the tube. I actually on first use almost washed my hands and did not even try to use it as it was sooo thick I had to rub my hands together to soften it a bit so I could spread it in my hair. It is also quite sticky on your hands after use. That being said, I am glad I gave this gel a chance on my 2C-3B Caucasian hair. It does give me soft, non crunchy curls that need a little fluffing once your hair is dry. No breaking the cast as there isn't really one... well maybe a very slight one requiring a little bit to fluff up your hair. I normally blow dry my hair to about 70-80% dry and let it air dry the rest of the way. This gives me soft, defined curls. I always use it with a light leave-in. It is not moisturizing per say, if you are very dry or very kinky, you might want a cream, butter or heavier leave in before using this. I believe the website suggests a bit of buttercreme under this and I did try it, but for my hair, just a bit is needed.

This is the first curly product out of many that actually works for me. My hair looks curly but not frizzy. This product helps me to achieve the look I want without having to blow dry my hair. So on the days where I am in a hurry and don't have time to straighten, I use this and go in my curl girl mode.

It does not moisturize natural hair. It's flaky

This is the only product I have found that will give you the hold of gel without the crunch and stiffness of regular gels. I am amazed how soft and curly my hair is when I use this product with a diffuser blow-dryer.The only complaint I have is the price. but sometimes you get what your pay for and in this case, even though its more than I would usually spend on a hair product, I would buy this again because I am so happy with the outcome. I didn't know you could get so much hold with out the stiff hair. it was a game changer
