It's a filter. And it fits. And it seems to be genuine. Once upon a time this was the kind of thing I could pick up or order from my local hardware store. Not so much now. Lawnmowers seem to be all made of plastic and good luck trying to source bits when you inevitably hit that rock! Very greatful that I can pick up Briggs and Stratton spare parts so easily on Amazon to service my machines each year.

Perfect fit. My lawn mower was struggling and the plug was getting sooted up fast. In inspection the air filter was clogged up as it hasn't been changed in years! 5 min job to change and the mower is running great again.

Bought to replace an air filter that was long overdue for replacing ,and cleaning .A perfect fit ,but it's what I would expect as a genuine Briggs & Stratton spare part .Good price and prompt service, I will order again when the time comes and not leave it so late .

Not really much to review. It’s a sponge filter that is shaped specifically for the Briggs and Stratton engine. Fits perfectly. It is recommended that some oil is incorporated into the sponge before use. It has certainly made a difference to the performance of the machine. Highly recommended
