A return to form
Well it has been out for nearly a year now and I have had this since day 1. I have long been a fan a fan of CoD games and own all since CoD4 with all the DLC too. However I was disappointed with MW3 and wasn't sure quite what to expect from Black Ops 2. I know people complain that the 'engine' is old but it h=appears to be completely overhauled and graphically it is the best looking CoD game to date. It runs smoothly and plays just as well and quickly as ANY FPS game available. The campaign has gone from being a linear cinematic experience with decisions affecting the storyline - thus given it more replayability but still retains that cinematic experience. It is still quite linear in some respects but it certainly adds something extra that we have been asking for...MP is Great - I have clocked up nearly 500 hours playing it (that is value for money... not many games have given me that many hours worth of play time) The Guns feel good, kill time is what you would expect from a fast paced shooter and I love the fact that Death Streaks are now gone. Why reward players for dying that many times!! Maps are good but in all honesty the best maps are on the DLC. There is more interactivity on these maps too with different things happening and they are all seem to play well - even the ones I am not so keen on. They have even given us some 'old' favourites with a make over (Nuke town, Firing range, Summit etc.. but all of these are on the DLC - except nuketown) - certanly the best MP in my opinion and that includes the excellent CoD4Not only do we have those 2 parts we also have Zombies!!! This is awesome and probably worth buying for this alone! Especially if you get the DLC maps too. Zombies has grown from a little 'extra' we got on W@W to a complete experience we now have in BO2. Whilst the on disc Zombies doesn't give us much (a few maps and play modes) its the DLC maps that really add so much. They are a lot bigger in scale than the maps offered in BO and Highly recommended.I mention the DLC parts as the HArdened edition does give you a season pass which gives you access to the DLC. The DLC comprises of 4 MP maps and a Zombie maps for each pack and there are 4 packs. Also included in the first pack is a new weapon too. I know £80 is a lot of money for a game but I have spent Hundreds of hours playing 5the various components and NO other game has even come close to giving me this cost per hour ratio so therefore I have to award this the highest marks possible

Game is awesome, Hardened is not
I purchased the hardened edition mainly because of the Nuketown Zombies map exclusive.1 day before release, I find out that I could have purchased the normal game and just paid £30 for the season pass and get the Nuketown Zombies included. Now I have paid £70 and need to buy the £30 season pass for DLC, when I could have paid £40 and then buy the season pass. All in all, if you buy the Hardened Edition, you are paying £20 for avatar items and a sountrack... and a box

Great, awesome and crazy !
Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Hardened Edition (Xbox 360)I'm not gonna talk about the game itself, but it's an amazing game !But I'm gonna talk about the packaging and shipment. So the shipment went pretty well, I was supposed to receive my order on November 17th and we're on November 15th so that's a VERY good point, I live in France and I pre-ordered the game from Amazon UK cause I don't like the french dubbing voices, they're bad !The packaging was a big carton box with stuffing in it so the game's box doesn't move, nothing more to say, except that I'll order all my future games at Amazon UK :)

Fantastic game but not as good as its predecessor (Black Ops)
The Call of Duty franchise is the most popular game series ever. Since Modern Warfare 2, however, there have been greater and greater criticisms of each following game (yet the numbers purchased increase year-on-year) and most of these are justifiable.Black Ops 2 continues with the same three modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. The BO2 campaign is woeful; one of the few campaigns I have ever played in a shooter which totally left me bored. The "Strike Force" missions especially felt like the game was trying to be something it was not, it is a shooter not a strategy game and it should remain that way.The Zombies sections has a huge amount to live up to. The Zombies maps released so far (including Die Rise) are all pretty fun but none have them have so far been able to reproduce the sheer replay ability of Kino Der Toten or Five. Furthermore, there are few new features in the games (think back to Call of the Dead, Shangri-La and Moon!). The "Green Run" is a nice touch but Tranzit soon becomes tiresome and the bank feature serves to make the game far too easy. Furthermore, the game results in you staying in a tiny fraction of the map because its not worth your while to wonder around in the fog. The Easter Egg also remains disappointing although there are hints it will be expanded further with future DLCs. Nuketown zombies and Die Rise are equally disappointing. The multiplayer is very playable and I have spent a lot of time on it; however, it is not quite as good as Black Ops. While League Play has incredible potential, it doesn't work perfectly.

... hoping this call of duty was going to be better than MW3
I was hoping this call of duty was going to be better than MW3, but this game changed my mind about Cod completely, as every new cod game comes out it just goes worse, no signs of improvement, the horrible lag compensation is a pain, especially because people who have a good connection have a disadvantage due to lobbies being mixed with people with bad connection and trys to balnce it out between bad and good connection which isnt good for people who pay alot of money for a good connection. I still prefer mw2 days where if you had a bad connection you was kicked out which made it better for other people with a good connection. Being a host on this game is horrible others will gain for you being host especially if you have a good connection as a host. Which is why i do not rate this game, it was a rip of especially for hardened edition as i got this on release date, the only extra features it had was some coins that had music and desktop back grounds and nuke town 24/7. Which is why i have moved on to Battlefield the true fps game that can be enjoyed and played hardcore
