Used them for reseeding grass
I used these on bare patches in my new yard to reseed. I just walked around on the bare patches until the soil was loose then seeded. That method worked quite well.

Exactly what I needed

Poor quality
The strap that holds the toe of the shoe on broke before it was even tightened. Had to tie it in a knot to use them. I had no choice the job need to be done. The buckle needs to be made from a stronger material.

Waste of money
These come fully disassembled, all spikes have to be screwed in and straps threaded through. The straps are not long enough for all sizes of shoes, and because the spikes create so much resistance while walking, the straps come loose after two steps. These should have been buckle fasteners or some other more reliable system. That and the fact that the spikes are so narrow, the holes being made are deep, but these are more likely to tear up your lawn than aerate it.

Good for Reseeding
The Zimpty Gunite Spiked Shoes are good for reseeding. The spiked shoes are made of good material. Make sure when putting these on that the straps are put on tightly, but don’t pull on them too hard so you don’t snap the straps off. I recommend this product if you’re looking for an inexpensive way to reseed.

Needs better straps for anything less than a smooth surface
Like many of the other reviews for this product I am not planning to use them for actual epoxy laying. For that task they would likely work just fine on a smooth level surface. They claim just over 1 inch spikes, but mine came with spikes closer to 2 inches. This is really too much for just about anything. Even applying epoxy flooring you don't need spikes that long. I was planning to use them to access the hillside behind my house. I was using crampons, but they were not always working on a hill that steep. Had these come with 1 inch spikes I think they would have worked. With two inch spikes every time I hit a rock with a few of them while the rest dig in 2 inches my foot is at too sharp of an angle to be stable. This is partly my fault for using them for something they are not designed for.Why don't they come with Velcro straps???????? Buckles are a bit old style and take more time to thread.

Good for lawn aerating!
Putting these together was kinda a pain... I wasn't expecting it to have to put all the spikes on. Oh, well not the most difficult things to do and again not the easiest thing to do. Once together aerating the lawn was pretty hard to do. You have to walk straight up and down like the North Korean March and if your legs aren't very strong your gonna have a hard time.

Good quality
They are good quality, does what they are intended to do, and are pretty straightforward to use, strap them on your shoes as you work outside and let them do the work
