Art Deco Complete: The Definitive Guide to the Decorative Arts of the 1920s and 1930s Hardcover – 14 Sept. 2009

I love this book. It’s nice to dip in and out of , fabulous photos.

I collect Art Deco figures and glassware. I found this book an absolute delight and all for £31.00 - less than the price of a meal out for two. I will be using this as a reference together my my other books on this subject and Art Nouveau. oh by the way I note that someone was a little unhappy that Charles R Macintosh is note included - I have to admit that I thought he was more of the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts period than Art Deco hence him not being mentioned.I could recommend this book. The only area really missing was architecture - an excuse to buy another book!

An excellent book full of marvellous illustrations and very descriptive narrative. A definite definitive guide to the Decorative Arts of the 1920s and 1930s. It was bought for a raffle prize following our lecture on the Decorative Arts of that period and was extremely well received.

This a wonderfully produced book with lots of lavish illustrations. It is an excellent comprehensive guide to the art and design of the art deco movement but not the architecture ( if this is what you are seeking then look elsewhere ). The book is a real pleasure to own and has earned its place on my bookcase. Positively recommended.

Gorgeous book, lovely photos. Very informative

Excellent book however the cover is torn and frayed and a couple of pages were stuck together with some adhesive material and pulled the image surfaces if they were adhering to.

Alastair Duncan Art Deco Complete has oodles of glossy colour pictures accompanied by explanatory text setting out the history and impact of art deco design. The book itself is BIG, it has 527 pages filled with hundreds of glorious colour pictures. I absolutely love it.

It's really a great book with beautiful pictures and informative text.
