Q: Is this a caligraphy pen or standard?

My wife does some calligraphy and she says this is not a pen for that purpose. The nib is not very flexible. It’s a good writing pen.

Q: Finish. The finish of these pens will scratch and wear off easily?

I’ve only had it for a week, but it appears to be very well made with a very hard coating. I have the white pen with rose gold metallic. But then I’m careful with my things and keep my pen in an elastic sleeve that wraps around my journal.

Q: Can you change the size of the nib for more variation in writing?

No. I asked the same question directly to Ellington and that was their reply. They did mention a finer nib available “soon”. That was in April ‘23 if I recall. The nib that comes with the pen writes a little too fat for my liking. However it writes very nicely.

Q: I was hoping to order and review the all black fountain pen. What is the nib size? It says medium and fine point in different places. Thanks!

Currently, all our pens come with a medium nib.
