Based on the hit 1966 sci-fi movie of the same name,  'Fantastic Voyage' was an animated series that followed the exploits of the Combined Miniaturized Defense Force (CMDF), a top-secret government unit capable of shrinking people and vehicles to microscopic size.  The movie’s 'Proteus' submarine was replaced with the aptly named 'Voyager,' a craft that more closely resembled a cross between 'Voyage to the  Bottom of the Sea'’s Flying Sub and a delta-winged jet airplane.
