Gilardino 7 Way Trailer Plug, 7 pin Trailer Wiring Harness, 8 Feet 7-Wire Trailer Adapter Cord for RV

The coiled cord on our motorhome's towbar had failed. This cord was the perfect replacement. It easily fits into the arms on the towbar. As others have said it is 16 AWG copper wire. The outer diameter of the cord is 7/16". The molded plug and cable are good quality construction.

Size could have been about a foot longer, or even in different sizes for those maybe like 8ft, or even a 10' for those older trailer setups, but plugged in to system and worked very well..

I got it and the first things I noticed is how thin the the black outer housing is. Then I looked at the 16 gauge wires on the inside. My trailer is 14 gauge for the trailer lights/brake and 12 for the main red and black. This cable is too small for he application. Cheap is good, but this is inadequate and likely to burn.

I needed a 7way plug in a pinch, and had thus delivered the next day. It works as it should, and is plenty long for most trailer installs for the tongue. Just remember the wire colors may differ from yours. They have a picture of their wiring colors and what they go to. Always double check your vehicle pins, and what they correspond with. Then match accordingly to your trailer.

Definitely wasn’t 8’ but there was enough for what I was doing. Takes a little effort to get the connections together (a little dielectric and elbow grease goes a long way) but I’m not worried about it accidentally coming apart.

I can not speak to the color coding, but just wanted to chime in and let people know that the wires inside this cable are in fact 16 gauge. Depending on your use, that may or may not be sufficient. It is smaller than most. For me, it is perfect because I just wanted the wire anyway, so I cut the plug off of it. The plug did seem well constructed though for what that’s worth.
