A Sound Product!
Very pleased with the overall performance and ease of use. Set up is very easy, but be careful to follow the recommended HDMI and Optical pairings. The Audio set up was however, a little time consuming, it could be the acoustics within the room (vaulted ceiling) but in order to get a sound that I like, I scrapped the auto mic set up (even after performing the multipoint set up) and did it all manually, a speaker at a time. I am running Bose Acousti-mass 10 speakers, these need to be set to large plus a Yamaha sub-woofer, I also found it necessary to increase the rear surround volume to obtain the full thunder effect!. The duel zone feature is good provided you remember to source after switching it on.The Musicast feature is also good for controlling the zones from the garden or another room via your phone.There are still some features left to play with.............

Sound great even on Creative S700 Satellite speaker
Good customer service from Audible Fidelity Ltd. they contacted me before they shipped asking if I want a Saturday delivery. The AV itself is a joy to use, replacing a computer based 5.1 entertainment system. Had to purchase a Subwoffer (Dali E12F), and will purchase replacement speakers as funds become available, but enjoying the sound it does produce so far. The Yamaha Cinema DSP works well to fill the sound field from mono/stereo sources. YPAO does a good job of balancing the sound from various seating positions.

Very good product easy to setup
Very good product easy to setup ,the only thing that need to improve it’s the remote control, battens are to small and a bit complicate (but you can work with Yamaha app),important to have light on battens to work at night

Excellent receiver, great value
Great sound quality when paired with a decent set of speakers. Truly excellent. I have a tannoy 5.1 set. It's an excellent combination. Using the surround speaker stop the side and letting the Yamaha virtualise the rear surround channel works incredibly well. Sounds pass behind me very naturally. Feature set is great, AirPlay etc is faultless. Also the double hdmi pass through is perfect if you have a tv & projector set up.
