Smart Garden Damasque Lantern Silhouette Solar Light

Looks really nice. Not sure if we missed it but I don't think it says in the product description that this is actually metal. We ordered it half-expecting it to be plastic and having to return it but it is metal (copper) and looks really well made. It's hanging next to our front door and the pattern of light and shadows on the wall and door is quite beautiful. The LED could be a bit warmer in tone but it is ok. The automatic on/off and the solar charger work well. ADDITION Having used this for a little more than a month now, I'd still say it is really nice but the solar charger obviously needs a lot of sunlight. Ours is at the front door and it's a bit shady there and of course it's winter now, so not much sun light. With that, the light is only on for something like 20 minutes now when it gets dark.I would still buy this again. It just needs a different light.

Can’t speak to longevity, but lights beautifully and gives off more than I thought it would, creating patterns. Three thoughts though: 1. Didn’t realise it was going to be a cool blue light ( the other lantern is from a different co), which is fine but just be aware. 2. If you want to hang it from a tree or a shepherd’s crook, the bulb is not very pretty to look at, so I have it at ground level. 3.instructions don’t tell you how to access the on off switch on the underside of the solar panel inside the soldered lantern and appears completely inaccessible. I wrote to the company because I didn’t want to damage it and they were very responsive replying straight away that you simply remove the solar panel from the top ( which isn’t obvious and isn’t in the instructions!) Edit: having had it for a couple of weeks now, I’d add that it doesn’t last as long as the one next to it. Weird as the panels are the same size and they both get the same amt of sunlight.

I have two of these, I loved the first one so much, I sent for the other one, matching pair, I thought they'd look great on night, however, despite the second one which I've had in full sun for 3 days, facing south west, I cant get it to light so it looks like a faulty solar panel. Tried to get supplier to replace solar panel, as I do love the lantern, so far it looks like I'll have to return full item, unfortunately I don't have the box., so its gonna cost , anybody been successful with replacement panels.....please

The lantern is lovely but the light only worked for one night. I have not Been able to get it to work since. I sent them a message but was asked if I had removed the tab.

Very pretty lantern. You can use it inside or outside. Ease of use just switch on under the battery & leave in the sun. Would highly recomnend.

These are fantastic solar lanterns. They look great and light up a long time. Had them since April last year and still look & work well. They leave a lovely pattern on the surrounding area as they have open work . Which allows the light to shine through. Definitely recommend.

Lovely if it lasted for any length of time; its hung in direct sunlight all day but only stays lit for an hour or so some evenings it doesn't even light up

We have a coupe of these, and hung outside on a pole stuck into the earth these have lasted I'd say at least 5 years. Yes the metal corrodes, but it just adds to look these items have in my opinion. The light casts a beautiful patterned shadow through the globe at night. Really lovely. We've found that after about 2 years, the solar panel and light element that fits in the top fails. The problem is the units have an on/off switch on the underside and water / condensation gets in and corrodes the contacts so the light never comes on at night. You can buy replacement solar/light units on Amazon and these fit into the globe in the same way as the original did. They DON'T have a switch to turn the night-light off, so they probably won't suffer the same problem. The light from the original unit was a sort of eery yellow/green and not super-bright. The replacement units emit a whiter light of higher intensity.
