Delicious tea
My husband's favourite tea. pleased to find it available from Amazon in looseleaf form.

lovely tea
I like that this loose lead tea is in a compact container. I think Barry's is better than PG or Twinnings and I am delighted to recommend it to my friends around the UK.

Delicious tea
I remember drinking Barry's tea, on a ferry ship to Ireland, back in 1978. I'm not sure if that was their gold blend (or whether they were even doing a gold blend that far back), but I do remember the tea being delectable and this blend certainly is. It's strong (but Irish teas tend to be) and it has a superb colour with a rich, lingering taste. I put 2 heaped teaspoons in my (small sized) pot every time and it just produces a perfect brew: lovely with sugar, but equally competent with the brand of sweetener I sometimes use. I'm a fan of loose tea, as I can still remember my mother making it regularly in our kitchen when I was younger and this is both refreshing and satisfying. Recommended.

The best tea is even better loose leaf
Was able to compare a cup of Barry's made with a tea bag and this and yes, leaf is noticeably better. If you don't already know Barry's do try this Irish blend (developed during WWII when they were unable to import from the UK). I would be very surprised if you go back to your usual choice. Because of the price, I'm sticking to tea bags, but the real thing is a lovely treat.

awesome tea, mediocre name!
Although I wouldn't class myself as an expert, I love tea! I drink about 10-15 cups a day. I like different teas for different times of the day. Assam in the morning/afternoon, Darjeeling later in the evening. I probably wouldn't have bought this tea tbh, (the name doesn't exactly inspire great things) it was given to me as a gift. But boy am I glad I was given this tea. It is absolutely perfect. Quite often with other teas, I make my own blends, but with this it is just perfection. I prefer it in the morning, but still drink it all day long. Only disappointment is it doesn't last long enough....... I wonder if they do it in kilo packets???? 10/10!

This tea ifs now my favourite blend. Please give it a try
Having heard about Barry's Gold Bend, I had to try it. This tea ifs now my favourite blend. Please give it a try. Shipping only takes a few days and then your in for a treat. The tea seems to have a well rounded taste, but with a slight hint of the brightness of African teas. They've got it just right.
