I've always been fascinated by mythology and the mystical, so picking up this book felt like stepping into a new yet ancient world. It's a guide that connects you with the Norse traditions of magic, which are far from the flashy spells we see in movies. Instead, it's about understanding and manipulating energy, a concept that feels both empowering and profound. The book breaks down how anyone can harness these abilities, emphasizing that it's not about being special or chosen but about tapping into what's already within and around us.

Purchased as a gift for a friend who enjoys this type of thing. Hopefully I don’t regret it.

The book is much smaller than anticipated, but gives the reader a glimpse of Nordic culture through their beliefs and use of magical symbols.

There are no in line citations and the author Is clearly referencing techniques developed by older creators to whom no credit is given. Not to mention the author is making up terms and drawing relationships between things that have no connections. The information given is simplistic and incomplete. It's not even that great as a starting point.

I only wish it was in Hardcover

This is not a deeper dive into anything advertised on the cover. It's a very skimmable explanation of different magical practices that may have existed, without including the actual spells. Still, it's a passable primer on Norse magic.

I absolutely love this book and the cover. Takes you through Norse culture and their history. I recommend picking up this book!
