Good range of sizes but stiff and scratchy
Set of nine flat headed brushes made of natural white hog bristles. It says they are suitable for watercolour, acrylic, oil, tempera and gouache, however I do not know due to the consistency of the bristles how this would work with water colour.I like that the bristles are natural and it recommends that you soak the bristles for half an hour before use, but even after soaking, I found that they remained stiff and can made visible lines on my work, which isn't ideal. You also need to reshape them after use otherwise they become deformed and you can't let any paint dry on the bristles, which is easier said than done with quick drying acrylic paint, especially when swapping between different brush sizes.Plus points are that there is a good range of sizes in the set and the smooth wooden handles are comfortable to hold. They also don't moult. On the downside, there’s a lot of work to maintain them, from what I’ve found which brings little if any benefit and I’ve had brushes of around the same price or cheaper in the past which deliver a better finish of paint. These ones are certainly not the worst I've ever used, but nowhere near the best either. They are ok as a backup set or perhaps for kids to have a go with, but not something I would recommend for an artist, amateur or otherwise.

Bristles were stale and I couldn’t even use them.
They were presented nicely but when I opened the package, I noticed the bristles were covered in dust and were very brittle. I ran one of the brushes under warm water but it didn’t change anything. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and used it in a painting but again, they were useless.

Good value beginner set of brushes best suited to acrylic paints
This good value set of brushes is a good option for anyone who’s starting out with acrylic paints. Due to the profile and stiffness of the brushes they are better suited to acrylic paints as opposed to watercolours. It is helpful to have the variety of sizes so you can begin to work out what sizes you get on best with - subsequent purchases you might want to only pick out specific sizes. They are quite comfortable to hold and none of the brushes in the set I received have lost any bristles as of yet.For a price of c. £9 (at time of review) for the set of 9 brushes, I think that’s good value for money for a beginner.

£1 per brush? ... seriously what's not to like?!
Very happy with this product, the pack is sold for just below £9, and comes with 9 brushes, do the math, it's just less than £1 per brush, and with the build quality being reasonably good leaves no room for me to moan about anything.I like it, used it for about 4 weeks now, no problems whatsoever.

Not great quality
Brushes are covered in a glue like substance. Used once, totally out of shape and bristles are not reshaping

Definitely no good for watercolours
The quality of these brushes isn't great, but they're usable with the right medium.I winced immediately upon opening them. There's A LOT of stiffening gum used to keep the bristles in shape, which is never a good sign. You'll definitely need to spend a while cleaning them off with some warm soapy water when you first get them. Once all the gum was removed, I was able to better assess the bristle quality. it certainly appears to be hog hair. I had some bristle loss and a few mis-cut ones that needed trimming. The ferrules were at least tight, and the handles all well finished. The accompanying picture shows what they look like once they'd been cleaned. They're quite stiff, coarse brushes, so they're not suitable for watercolours at all. They also wouldn't be much good for anything that requites a flat, even application. However, for thick oil and acrylic application, they're fine. They'd also be fine for applying glues. At the current price of £8.99, they don't offer great value. They're really no different from packs of brushes you can often find in bargain shops for a few pounds. Serious artists should definitely avoid these, unless you need some general brushes for thick paint/impasto application, scumbling, or applying glues.
