A quality tool for the price
I bought this crimping tool as I needed to rewire a solar system that I installed last year. As I only needed it for a single project I didn't want to spend too much. This crimping tool was priced affordably so was perfect for my needs.I ended up using it for several jobs around the house, and used all the sizes from the 0.8mm^2 up to 16mm^2. Definitely worth it as it made the jobs much easier and tidier without any stray strands of wire getting in the way.The only downside is that the crimp on the largest sized cables wasn't even and perfectly square, but for the price I can't complain.

Great tool
Didn't know I needed it til I had it. Works great crimping wires when working on 230V electrics. I've started to crimp everything and the connection is just so much better. The tools great and the crimps provided are handy. Never had one to compare with before but it's really well made and works great for me. I'd buy this brand of tool again for sure

Robust and universal
For small wires that don't take solder, this is the ideal terminal maker. Reliable, low resistance connection at each junction.

Excellent crimping tool
Why use ferrules on cables? The reduce the contact resistance between a terminal and the cable. They also reduce oxidation of the cable as the crimping action and sleeve helps keep oxygen out of the cable.Ferrule ends also are generally easier to insert into a terminal. No twisting or loose strands of wire to worry about.I've used a square ferrule crimping tool for some time now, and it's great in rising clamp terminls, but not so good in round terminals. The square can be deformed easily, and in tight round terminal holes may not fit at all.So I was on the look out for a hexagonal ferrule crimper, and this one fits the bill.As the hexagonal shape is closer to a circle it allows a larger cable to fit easily in a round terminal.Physically the tool is larger that the square crimper, but it can also accommodate slightly larger cable sizes. Certainly this should suit the home user, or even many professionals, accepting up to 16mm2 cable sizes. It arrived neatly packed in a box, but this is just the tool, no storage bag or ferrule assortment.Fortunately I already owned both of these, and there was even enough space in the bag to slip in both tools. The multi lingual instructions are basic, but servicable.Briefly I recommend finding the appropriate ferrule for the cable, the metal part should fit nicely over the cable and plastic boot over the cable sheath.Measure the exposed metal part of the ferrule and strip the wire that much, plus a little allowance.Slide the ferrule over the stripped wire all the way down. There should be some wire protruding from the end of the metal ferrule. If not, strip off some more.Insert the ferrule into the tool and squeeze. This will be a hard squeeze for larger cable, but the tool feels robust and capable. If the ferrule is longer than the jaws, then reposition and crimp again, taking care that the hex lines up, but this is unlikely with this wide jaw tool. Finally, trim off the excess wire protruding from the ferrule, or indeed if the ferrule is longer than the terminal is deep, then trim off the excess ferrule with the wire inside. The tool makes a good firm crimp on all size wires I have tried. So far it feels robust and reliable, and hopefully this will continue to be the case.

Get one now!
Should have bought one of these years ago, perfect for making sure your wiring is connected properly to the supply, no more twisting the wires and hoping you will get a good connection, with this you know you will get a good connection, OK, you have to buy the ferrules but they are cheap.

Nice large capacity Crimper at a competitive price
Overall pretty satisfied with this tool, used it a few times now and seems to leave the bootlace ferrules in a good state. Although sometimes it can be a bit stiff but that could be just because it's new.
