The Electronic Scale

I read reviews before I bought this product. Looks like when it works, it just works and vice versa. So I thought if I purchase two of them, and if at least one does work, I can at least have one good one and return the bad ones. Amazon's return policy for defective product is very good and easy, so I have no problem with this strategy. I just have to do the QA (Quality Assurance) work for the vendor. So when I received two of them, I immediately put the devices to test. After copy a large folder to first device, the file count and size on the device is simply wrong, so I know this is a bad one. The other device is good after copying the first big folder. Then I copy another big folder. This time it also failed to retain the correct content. I ended up having to return both. Even though I did not lose much except some QA time, I am very disappointed that the good rate is 0%.

The flash Drive arrived on time from Amazon. I tried adding files to the drive. It was extremely slow transferring files. After taking over 12 hours to transfer 200 GB of data, the files disappeared from the flash drive. The directories were there, but no files in them. It was a complete waste of time. Only about 30 GB worth of files actually appeared to be on the flash drive. I tried this several times with smaller amounts. After transferring the 30 GB of data, the rest would just dis-appear.

This is advertised as being USB2 but based on the transfer speed (checked on two computers, in USB2 and 3 ports) it is definitely not. I can only get about 10MB/s, when I should be getting about 5 times that. That's just not usable for moving large files. I have my doubts about the capacity claimed but I'm not going to waste my time waiting for enough data to transfer over. You live you learn; if it appears too good to be true it is and don't buy off brand thumb drives.

I was so happy to find this capacity at this price. Don't bother. I tried moving video files and not only was the process super slow due to the awful read/write speed, but I lost half my files because they got corrupted when placed on the flash drive! I can never get those hours of video back now thanks to this awful pos drive.

I got 2 of these ( the 256 GB ones ) as gifts for family members so I could pre-load them with video files for them. After spending hours loading them with lots of files, I realized some, not all, of the files had disappeared from the drive. This happened to both the drives, so back to Amazon they went. Amazon however, is excellent with returns and made it easy to do so. I will be purchasing a more "name brand" flash drive for replacement. Buyer beware...they are cheaper for a reason !

After transferring all of my data and feeling I had accomplished something, the drives became unreadable the next day. I had already removed it all from the C: drive. I was able to replace some of the lost data but not all of it. I purchased two brand name 64 gigs drives and am happy with both of them.

In a bit more than a month - May 5 to June 9 - this flash drive got corrupted, such that it actually brought my PC to its knees.Once I removed it from the USB port, I was able to get my PC to restart; prior to remembering to remove devices - my bad! - I was unable to start my PC, not even into Safe Mode. This is a Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit installation. And I've had more than 30 years working, professionally, with PCs.Yes, I felt foolish when I realized all I need do was take it out of the port, but a memory device should 1) not go bad for no good reason, and 2) Never bring the computer to a screeching halt.I'd not recommend this flash drive, no matter how sleek it looks, and how inexpensive it is. I truly did get what I paid for with this device. After trying for quite a while, I remain unable to correct the corruption issues with this flash/thumb drive.So, it's thumbs down! [It's worth noting that I have never before given any purchase this low a review.]

This usb flash drive is of VERY POOR QUALITY. Saving or Accessing is very difficult and at times i,possible. I WASTED MY MONEY.Amazon should reimburse me for what I paid for it.Metal 256GB USB Flash Drive 2.0 - Silver with Key Ring / CC-yj56
