Although cheaper hamster-safe moss options are available, many require you to prepare them with water first and then dry them out. This Niteangel bag is ready to use, feels mostly soft (though a little squishing can help remove any overly crunchy bits), and you can simply freeze it for several days as an added safety measure; then thaw and in it goes. It’s added another fantastic texture choice for my girl. Sometimes I sprinkle a little of her daily food into it for foraging, and it provides a lovely splash of colour. It’s great as an enhancement to ”pillow” and soften parts of the enclosure. In the picture, you can see I’ve padded around her ceramic hide, which sits on top of her multi-chamber. It can get a little messy, but that’s half the fun for them. I don’t want her space to look like a show home. I believe this is another excellent enrichment.

Super soft moss, which adds a different texture to my hammie's enclosure. There was quite a lot in the pack, but I do think it was a little on the expensive side.

I was a little unsure about purchasing this, was looking for something different to give our Syrian Hamsters some more variety for their cages. Never bought moss before. This stuff is quite pricey for what you get but does seem to be good quality and the Hamsters really enjoy collecting it up for bedding when we leave it on things like on top of their houses etc. You would need many bags of it though if you wanted to decorate like they show in the description images. Just a bit for something different now and then works well.

I have put this in my canary’s cage with wood chips and long grasses so she can forage through it. She doesn’t eat it but does move it around and looks underneath it for millet seeds and dandelion/marigold flowers which I scatter for her. It’s changed every day but I just use a handful so bag is going to last a while. I have also put some around my houseplants as it looks really nice and keeps moisture in. I will buy some more of this.

The moss is lovely. It does come apart quite easily which is good so you can break it up and put it in different places across the enclosure. I used it on a piece of bark to give it more of s natural look. I put the moss in the freezer for 2 days to ensure any bugs will be wiped out before I opened it and so far no issues with bugs. It does smell quite strong but that's expected because it is moss. Delivery was meant to be in March but it came much quicker!

My hamster absolutely loves this bedding. It is soft and natural, and smells like the forest.

Molto bello per arricchire il terrario dei vostri criceti e dare un aspetto naturale. Alcuni dei miei criceti lo usano anche per farsi il nido, quindi potrebbe tornare utile anche per questo

I put this moss onto top of a cardboard hide in my hamster’s cage and it looks so cute, just a little more natural and less sterile. You can put it on top of various hides, bridges, and bedding for a different texture in your ham’s enclosure. Adds some nice color and smells really good!
