This sucker is sharp! Be careful! That said, grating cheese, block and hard, couldn't be easier. I love it. The slicer is basically ineffective, as with all others I've tried. The cheese is the most important. It would work well for nutmeg, too.

What all four sided graters should aspire to be! Have had many graters, each having at least one worthless surfaces. Have never had a zester side that did more than gum up the tines and create a paste that adheres to the surface for life rendering that side unusable. Most often the side to produce very thin slices of potatoes, etc is only capable of decapitating the tips of your fingers but curiously nothing else.The only drawback to this grater is the sharpness of it and you can quickly adapt to that. Each side does exactly what it is supposed to. Oh, it even has a removable lid on the bottom to keep everything contained. It is spendy, most I’ve ever paid for a grater, but imagine it’ll be the last one I ever have to buy.
