Great value
What a great value! The filters work and function great and the size was spot on for (what I think) is an odd sized filter. They do a great job and seem to hold up just as well as any of those more expensive ones you may get at a big box store.

great replacement filter
These filters are a good replacement for my air ducts. They collect a few different microparticles to keep the air cleaner. I do replace them every 3 months and they do need that. But all filters should be replaced every three months. These fit perfectly in the vent. Some filters do not fit as well as these do. There is a spot to mark the date you put them in which i like as a reminder to replace. The cardboard around the filter is a decent thickness so it does not get crunched when installing. The price is better than local brick and mortar stores. very happy with these.

Great Balance of Performance and Price for Cleaner Air
I’ve been using the Simply 20x24x1 Air Filters (MERV 8, MPR 600) for a while now, and they’ve exceeded my expectations for a mid-range filter. With pets in the house and some seasonal allergies, I needed something that could handle more than just basic dust—and this filter delivers. The actual size (19.75" x 23.75" x 0.75") fits snugly in my system, and installation was quick. The MERV 8 rating is a noticeable upgrade from lower-rated filters—it's able to trap dust, pollen, pet dander, and even some smaller particles that often make it past cheaper options. Since switching, I’ve noticed less dust on surfaces and a subtle but real improvement in air freshness. Each filter lasts about 2–3 months depending on air quality and usage, and with six in a pack, it’s a cost-effective way to stay on top of filter changes without constantly restocking. For anyone needing solid filtration without jumping to premium prices, this is a great choice—especially for households with pets or mild allergies.Pros:Effectively captures dust, pet hair, and pollenGood fit and easy to install6-pack is convenient and budget-friendlyNoticeable improvement in air qualityCons:May need more frequent changes in homes with multiple petsNot suitable for ultra-fine particles

Economical but slightly loose fit - check the actual size dimensions with your housing
The fitment is very loose. Make sure you check the actual size to ensure it fits your filter housing. I have a 14x20x1 housing, but in reality it is more of a 14.8x19.8x1 fitment. 3M FIltrete makes them in two sizes, the 14.81x19.81 and a 14.66x19.66. The 14.66x19.66 seems common and will fall out. The 14.81x19.81 is very snug. These Simply Filters are 14.75x19.75 which falls right out - but I have adjustment tabs in my housing that I bent out slightly and will hold the filters in place. My original filters that came with the new build Condo in 2014 were these fiberglass filters. I upgraded to MERV 6 or 7 and then switched to MERV 13 about 5 years ago because Project Farm did a test and showed the higher pleat count on MERV13 FIltrete actually flows better than the lower MERV filters. Well that was true to an extent, but I didn't realize it at the time but it would suck in smoke and skunk smells outdoors. Whenever a neighbor grilled outside their garage, apparently the smoke would get sucked through the roof and soffit vents. Or in the winter, when a neighborhood is burning a log fireplace or a skunk decides to spray, and it is a windless calm night, my furnace will be blowing out that all throughout the house.I decided to experiment with the MERV 8 and it flows a lot easier. I noticed it would no longer allow grilling smoke to be sucked in like before. I had a neighbor that was grilling the other day and I didn't even realize it. I briefly cracked open a window and got a whiff of the smoke. When I turned on the AC, I couldn't smell it.The Simply Filter is made entirely of paper, from the frame to the filter media. 3M Filtrete will use a metal mesh or wires, but not the Simply Filter.

It gets the job done.
The filter gets the job done. It was a good deal compared to others; however, the quality good, but not the best. I had that in mind when buying the filters.

Well constructed. True to size.
Merv 8 is the recommended filtering number for most average sized homes, ( 2,000-3,000 sq ft ), HVAC systems. A higher MERV number strains the blower motor by making the motor work harder to get air, which can lead to motor failure. A lower MERV number reduces the amount of dust & dander being filtered in the air of the house. That being said, there are many MERV 8 filters to chose from. Bottom line, there all the same with a different name. Yes, you will pay more for a "name brand" filter. But, you're just paying extra for advertising, in my opinion. These filters are built well, fit true to size, and do the job. Lastly, and most IMPORTANTLY, is that you must replace any filter every 30 days. So, that's 12 filters a year. These were priced right, so I bought a bunch of them. Clean filters will keep the duct work clear of dust buildup. So, it pays to replace them every 30 days, or you will be hiring a contractor to clean out you're ducts.
