Short Too!

Short and Sweet!
This is the sixth book in the series of either short stories or short poems. This new book is the first to be published for a few years and is the usual mix of humorous, tragic, frightening and clever tales. Apart from the obvious unifying feature that they are all short, they are also effective and memorable. Many are similar to other stories that have appeared over the years but this collection brings them together and others are completely original. Who could fail to feel a brief breeze of unease when they read "Nightmare" or laugh out loud when they read "Hairy"?The stories are so enjoyable that I know a teacher who has purchased this latest tome as this former literacy coordinator wants to complete their collection and to enjoy these yarns, even though they have no class of students to share them with anymore!

A lot packed into 1 or 2 pages.
Boys seem to like the stories more than girls. They are just the right length.

If you enjoyed Short, this is a must-buy!
As a supply teacher, my year five pupils love a little bit of horror at the end of the day. Nothing too weird but well pitched for older KS2.
