Easy to fit, works great
Makes a great radio truly portable and provides mains back up. I bought this because I live in a rural area and we get the occasional power cut, so there is the possibility of not being woken up, late for work or missing that flight...However, with the ChargePAK, at least I know the clock will tell the right time in the morning! The instructions do seem to indicate that the alarm will not go off if on battery power alone, as this is a function of the radio; it is not really related to the battery. If you want a full battery back up for the alarm function, it may not do what you want, but to make you radio truly portable, it's great and no more batteries to replace.

It's a battery pack that makes the radio work....
It's a battery pack. It makes the radio work. Haven't had it long enough to comment on longevity or battery life. Seems a little pricey. What more to say?

Pure and cheeky
Its a bit cheeky of pure that this is not included in the expensive evoke f4 that i bought it for. Love the f4 tho..bit slow sometimes but loads of functionality.

I like it.
It's a battery that is rechargeable. It provides voltage and it powers the Pure Sensia 200D that I bought it for. It is working fine with no problems that I know of. So I like it for that reason.I will add though that given the "propensity" for companies to ask you to rate their products before they have even got through the letterbox is all good and well, but it leaves me in the position where I can't give a long term opinion based on the use of it over time. It maight fail in a week or maybe in six months, so for that reason it only gets 4 stars.

Easy to Fit and Good Charge
I do not often leave reviews but I almost did not purchase this battery pack because of some of the reviews. Contrary to some of the reviews it was easy to fit and it took me longer to take it out of the packet than to actually place it in the radio. I charged it overnight and the next day used the radio (running on the battery pack) for over seven hours. At the end of that time it still had two thirds of the charge left according to the indicator. Thoroughly recommended.

Rubbish - dont buy it.
Bought the Pure Evoke D4 radio as a present for my wife in December 2013. Despite what I considered to be excessive cost I also bought the F1 battery pack which has just failed completely; in fact you could not operate the radio at all.Phoned Pure and they advised that it was probably the battery pack. Removed it and the radio operates fine.Usual story from Pure "its only guranteed for a year" and no joy on a contribution towards a replacement.Interestingly if you go to Pure's website here:-http://www.pure.com/accessories/chargepak-f1 their proud boast is:-"Listen to your Pure radio wherever you go for up to 50 hours - and never buy batteries again"If thats the case then I think we should all be entitled to a free replacement or if not they should at least be reported under The Trades Description Act.I have had pure digital radios for nealy 10 years and they have been pricey but OK.The D4 is to expensive for what it offers and tying you in to just their battery pack is in my view a con. This battery is a complete rip off and as a result I shall not be buying Pure products in future.

Clarification on battery for which Pure product
I am fortunate enough to have received an Evoke F4 Bluetooth as a present and needed a chargepack (should be part of the radio - Pure take note!) to power it. There was a element of confusion of advice as to which chargepack this needed - this F1 unit is exactly the one to order for the above radio. On receipt and first install, the radio was inoperative and didn't work with mains or battery with the chargepack inside - however, with a wipe of the terminals on both the radio and the battery, all was well.
