Skeptical but pleasantly surprised!
I was looking for a way to remove dip powder manicure without going to the salon or drilling my hands and soaking forever. I noticed that this was marketed for regular gel, not dip powder, but figured I’d try it and was honestly expecting it to not work at all.I had at least 5-6 layers of dip powder on both hands. I gently filed my right hand with an abrasive Emory board until I removed all the shine, then I used this machine with Offly remover. I had to repeat 4 times on my right hand and eventually ended up using a cotton pad soaked w acetone and a clip for my thumb, as my nail tech usually does extra clear and base on my thumbs bc I chip them a lot at work. For my left hand, I filed more intensely with the emery board before saying “F this” and took out the e-file. I then put pure acetone in the machine. After two rounds, the polish on my left hand was easily wiped off with a cotton pad.On both hands my nails are relatively healthy and the only noticeable damage is the roughed-up areas from my prior manicure. The entire outgrowth Is totally healthy. In the past when I removed dip or UV at home I had to trim my nails very short and they were still peeling and cracking and very damaged from the gel application and removal. Now my nails only have the damage from the last manicure, no added damage, no peeling or splitting or cracking, and they don’t “feel thin” or hurt. This thing is amazing as long as you have the right expectations and preparations. If you expect it to instantly remove a full manicure, you’ll be disappointed, but if you take the time to scrub and soak you may be surprised - it still takes a long time to get everything cleaned off but it’s still quicker than foils or nail clips, and my nails are way happier using this than any other removal method.

Amazing 😍
This steamer removed my dip power. It took me about 30 minutes. I had to use twice for each hand. The second time the dip powder was melting, so it was super easy to remove, and my nails didn’t feel weak after removing the dip powder.

Burns/hurts your nails
Really disappointed in this! I did everything it asked me to do, it made one flake come off. I started feeling terrible pain, (no I did not touch the hot Acetone) in some of my fingers. It wasn’t burning my skin but it was like the nerves under my nails were on fire! I now have what looks like a rash at the tip of my nail. I couldn’t stand to keep those fingers in. I had to file my gel polish almost completely off for it to even cause that one flake to come off. Complete trash and now I cannot stand for anything to touch my nails.

Probably best to have 2
I bought this for my shop to use on clients, and in hindsight, I wish I had bought two of them, however, I don’t like this way so much that I will buy another oneIt’s kind of a new “fangle” thing I guess. But it’s kind of messy and it gets hot in there. It definitely does not remove it any quicker or safer than just wrapping them and cotton and acetoneSo that’s what I do. I have soft one hand in there and then wrapped the other one and honestly the time is the same and scraping is the same

I use this machine about twice a month. It’s been almost a year and it won’t turn on. This worked well but now doesn’t work. I take hood care of my machine, clean it after every use. Womp womp womp😭

6 months and going great!
Have had this now for 6 months and no issue to report! I’ve used this to remove my home gel/dip manicures and salon nails. It saves a lot of time. Usually I file the nails some while the machine heats up (don’t try and put your hands in it on heat, there’s no point) and then by the time it turns to steam my nails are ready to soak off. I know some people say it takes only 10 minutes, I have not found that to be true. It usually takes 20 minutes and that’s with my trying to push off some of the polish in between. Overall, it’s really nice to have and my nails have stayed healthier and stronger using this over the other methods.

LOVE IT!
If you use gel nail polish, this is the BEST way to remove it! So easy to use. Makes removal a snap. So much easier than using polish removing pads on each nail.

Still works after 2 years!
I bought this in May 2021 and have been using it ever since! I do my nails about 2x a month. The only reason I’m back here is to buy another one! It JUST clicked in my head that I should buy another one bcuz you can only do 1 hand at a time. I don't know how I just now thought of that lol. Hoping I get the same quality as the first one.
