These combs aren’t bad, but they’re not great either. I used them to make ‘magic combs’ to hold up a twist or bun. The one I made has only dark beads, but the one I purchased pre-made has a mix of light and dark beads (visible in the 3rd photo as the bottom ‘magic comb’). The ‘teeth’ are quite short and very flexible, so when used against one another like a ‘magic comb’ (see 2nd photo of up-do), the ‘teeth’ bend out of shape and don’t have enough length to interlock. I have long (about to my mid-back/bra strap area) straight fine hair. When I twist it up or make a bun, it makes a pretty thick cord…thicker than the length of the ‘teeth’ in these combs. The wire that forms the teeth is very flexible and bends the wrong way when used as this apparatus. The ends of these wires is also not smoothed off or doubled, clamped, or otherwise tucked away, so the rough ends of the wire prick your fingers, grab hair, and generally just get in the way when using the combs. I’ll use them, but I won’t re-order.

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I rated them as a 3 for sturdiness and thickness because I did not want them to be too thick or two sturdy. I needed to cut them shorter, and I was able to do so easily, without disturbing the integrity of the wires. They are as sturdy and as thick as they need to be. I used them to create a bridal headpiece and detachable veil. Worked perfectly.

Sturdy, but tend to get tangled on your hair if you're not careful.

It took a little getting used to as I've always used the plastic ones. They stay in place well, and they don't break.The wires bend easily - that's what I needed to get used to. Would have liked wires that were thicker. They also snag my hair when I remove them unless I am very careful - part of the learning experience.I'm still using the first pair after several weeks - these may last my lifetime!

I love these little combs! Even though I'm 90% grey now they are a nice accessory and accent my hair nicely. I had 2 from many years ago and I really thought my search for more would be in vain, but Amazon surprised me by having so many vendors selling these. Why did I pick this particular vendor? I felt they offered me the best buy and value for my money! I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Thank you Vendor my combs arrived on time and nicely protected in the bubble envelope. I would buy these again.

These look exactly like Revlon online. They are not the same however. They have no curves, and they do not slide and lock into place like Revlon combs. They bend out of shape very easily. I really wanted to like them. I think the metal that they are using for production is not sturdy enough. Hopefully they will work on their materials and improve. I can’t Recommend at this time.

These hold very well. I do have to straighten the teeth every time I use it. Not sure if this will shorten the life of the product or not.

I had to throw these away. They were all bent. Better to go to Walmart for the Goody brand.
