LED Motion Activated Light is awesome, I've had my home and garage 15 years now, garage is rough and dark, just a basic 2 bay garage, basic chalk light fixtures on beams in ceiling, unfinished cinder block walls, a dark garage basically, we put these lights in there and man! what a difference, we put three of these in there because that's how many chalk lights are up, I have NEVER seen this garage this bright in all the years I have been here and no more feeling for the light switch, you open the door, walk in and there's instant light! Super bright easy to see the garage and all it's contents. I'll tell you something else, our garage has windows in it, it's a detached garage, but I was gonna say that if someone broke in then you'd know it because it would be lit up really bright, you couldn't fail to see the light shining out the windows for sure, but this would work even in an attached garage as well and very well at that, think about it, you wouldn't have to worry about turning the light on or off, it'd take care of itself and it would be nice to know that when you pull in and get out of your car that you can see instantly everything around you instantly, no one would be able to sneak up on you, not counting the fact that it'd be so much easier getting groceries in or kids, pets, briefcases, luggage, etc, because you know you don't have to fool with turning a light on and you don't have to worry about forgetting to turn a light off being it does it for you, definitely helps with the electric bill as well, a very worthwhile investment, I went back and bought their regular LED set without the motion sensor for my attic just to have the bright light up there (can't use the motion sensor up there as there are other things on the circuit that I can't leave on) but the attic is lit up like a Christmas tree for sure now, we love all of them. Well built lights also, very solid. Would recommend to anyone at all. AAAA+++++ Item all the way!

I bought this light to replace a 60 watt bulb behind the furnace area in the basement that had to be turned on with a pull string. It was not easy to get to the light, but I needed it to clean the cat litter box. The motion sensor works great and goes out shortly after I leave the room. It is super bright! I am ordering another one right now to replace the pull string, bare bulb in a storage room in the basement because I am so pleased with the first one.Update: This light is so bright and I like having a motion sensor, BUT make sure it will work for your situation. This sensor WILL detect motion through walls (maybe not concrete, but drywall and wood). If you are using it in your house, think it over carefully. We ordered one for our basement utility room and cellar. Anytime we walk into an adjacent room in the basement, these lights come on, even if we aren't in those rooms. I would much rather the lights only come on when it senses me in that room, but the product description states that it can detect movement through walls, and that's exactly what it does, so I won't lower my rating. I'm sure it would be great for a garage, but may not work out for everyone's indoor situation.

Love how bright this is. Hate motion sensor - it doesn't work. There is a switch to turn on or off motion sensor but doesn't make a difference.UPDATE - Amazon sent a replacement and motion works great on this one. In fact it works way better than the old original one I replaced. I used to open the garage door and have to take a few steps to set off the light. This one is pretty amazing, the light turns the instant the door opens - very cool.Leaving at 4 stars - sucked getting a dud on the first purchase even though Amazon made it very easy to replace.

The good:- the light is very bright. I'm using 2 in a 3-car garage with 12 foot ceiling and the light output is great- very easy to install, you just screw them in- motion sensor built-in is very convenientThe bad:- the motion sensor absolutely does detect movement through some walls, and particularly doors. In my case, it was turning on more than I wanted it to and I had to place some aluminum foil to block the sensor in a certain direction- the time that the light stays on is 30 seconds or less, which is not sufficient.- once the light turns off, it will take a few seconds before it will detect your movement and turn on again. dangerous if you are using a power tool when this happens- even though the motion sensor can detect movement from far away, and through doors, it does not detect small movements very well so even if I am standing right under the light, it can still turn off- no way to configure either the range or the sensitivity of the movement sensor- no way to disable the movement sensor, I tried turning the light off and on quickly but it did not turn the sensor offIt's unfortunate that the motion sensor does not work better, because if it did these would be exactly what I need. For a light that turns on automatically as I walk in and out of the garage, it works great (once I added the aluminum foil). But for a light that stays on while I'm working in the garage, it's not sufficient.
