Beautiful finish
So here are some personal pros and cons to this product.Pros, the finish is a fantastic satin finish. This paint seems to smooth out the brush strokes on it own as it dries. So awesome! Almost an air brushed look without all the extra work! Probably the best chalk type paint that I've ever used before. I ordered the forest green and was not disappointed in the color. (Also, I've tried several different brands of chalk paint over the years; this by far has the competitors beat. Even over Dixie Belle if you can believe that!) So, I would 100% recommend this product. Now for the Cons,I feel this is a bit expensive for what it was and the quart I received was about 3/4 to an inch from a full can.It took 3 good coats to completely cover my walnut pieces, whereas other chalk paints are thicker and do the job in two coats. (Why 4 stars rating)However, once dried, the paint appeared to have a nice sheen to it as though I had already waxed it. So that was a pleasant surprise. The brush strokes seemed to dissappear like magic, totally didn't expect that! All in all, i'd say I'd definitely use this brand over any others in the future.P.s I haven't waxed anything yet, so will add pic and suggestions as to go with a wax, or a clear top coat in future.... stay tuned.

Love the color!
Many times lavender is too pink. This is not and true lavender has an undertone of blue. It’s perfect!

My projects turned out beautifully
My china cabinet faced an east window for 20 years. It must have enjoyed one too many beautiful sun rises because the color had faded more like brown freckles than wood grain.I found this paint in soft navy and my cabinet turned out beautifully. I used two coats without any sanding or priming….just top to bottom cleaning before I started. Finished the top surfaces with a polycrylic and the rest with clear wax. Ended up painting the mirror and server to match. The last time ordered, it was $39 per can. Shocked to see it go up $10.I would probably have used an alternative if it had been this pricey before I started my project.

Not the color I expected.
I bought baby pink but the color was more like an off-white. Other than that, I loved it! 4.5 out of 5.

Color wasn’t even close to the pictures or the name.
I had to send it back. I refinish furniture for a living. I paint every day, and never return paint bc I can usually use it on SOMETHING. But, the “dark green “ I ordered was very teal, and not a pretty teal. And, at $50+ for a quart, I sent this back. Just too expensive, especially when the color is so off.

Intense color, smooth, consistent coverage
I received my order of Aubergine chalk based furniture paint today and I am thrilled with the product! The color is outstanding! I thought it was a dark purple but it is more of a deep plum color (more pink than purple) and I love it! Painted a sample board and I am impressed with the smoothness of application and the coverage. I am a furniture painter and I have used just about every brand of chalk paint in the industry and this product stands up with the best of the best. Item was packaged securely and shipping was super fast too! Will definitely be ordering more colors soon!!

Not exactly what I was expecting
I ordered the stone color to paint a dark brown dresser from Ikea for my baby’s nursery. There are several problems I have with this paint:1. The color was more of a white than stone color but I was ok with that.2. It took more than 3 coats to cover the furniture. After going through 3 drawers, I decided to buy a $7 can of primer so I wouldn’t waste anymore of the $40 can of paint. The primer as a base and then applying the chalk paint worked. Basically saved me from buying another $40 can of paint.4. I first used a paint brush to apply the paint. It left streaks. I’d let it dry for a bit, try to go over the streaks to cover it, and the first layer would just kind of wipe off. I eventually switched to a roller. The paint went on smoother and way quicker.5. After finishing up, I let the paint dry over night, and started taking off the painters tape and putting the drawers back in. The paint started peeling and chipping. I don’t know if this paint job is going to last.Overall, I’m disappointed in this paint. I wish I had done more research and purchased something else.

Smooth and creamy chalk paint
I painted this dark crummy looking table this great green. For some reason, the picture looks more blue than it really is. It's actually a more dark green. It took me 3 light coats to completely cover a very dark table. I still have more than 3/4 of the can left. The difference in this chalk paint vs. others is it's consistency. It is so creamy. I loved using it! Because it was maybe a little less thick than other chalk paint, it didn't leave as many brush strokes, which is what I was going for in this project - a smoother look. You will love using this paint!

Great disappointment
I must confess to doing little proper research before I purchased this paint, and I am not inexperienced. The demos showed people slapping chalk paint on with the special brushes with a thick creamy paint. Job done and dusted in next to no time.Did all the prep and the big moment arrived. The paint was quite thick and hard to spread out in different directions and the finished surface left a streaky pattern maintaining my strokes trying to push the paint in all directions as per demo.2 further coats did not hide this pattern and were very streaky so I have just changed to a roller and this has hidden my original pattern but is thinly streaky. Another coat should do it, but is this too many coats?Little black hairs in the brushes made the job even more difficult. There were 5 "5 star" reviews next to the paint tin, but when you clicked on them, there were only 2. Not much of a recommendation!Amazon does this all the time. Sometimes when you click on multiple reviews, there aren't any! After a bit of research, I misted the roller and I am sure this has helped. The tin doesn't mention this. In fact instructions are minimal2 stars for overall rating because the colour is OK.

Good product, nice quality finish
I wanted to update a waxed pine fire surround that was very "orangey". I did some research on the Internet and chalk paint was suggested. I ordered this product and it was delivered quickly. You don't need to prep the surface, just make sure it is clean and dry, then apply the paint. It went on easily, dried quickly and left a lovely finish. I had to do 2 coats because the wood was quite dark and I'm very happy with the result. Before and after pics 😊

Avoid or be disappointed!
I've been painting for many years now and truthfully I've never been so disappointed with a paint than this!!! Instead of the usual sanding down I decided I would just use this as it states you can paint straight over!! This is a lie and you will be wasting your time! I made sure there was no grease on the furniture then painted! Loved the dull black but did take 2 coats! When dry the paint easy comes off with a little bump or scratch! You definitely need a clear wax or varnish to go over as the paint will not stay on! I would never buy this again and would rather go back to my normal sanding and painting! I can't believe that they are getting away with selling this as the description is totally not what it does.. do yourself a favour and avoid to save disappointment!

Wow! Game changer!!
As an avid user of farrow and ball for my house and kitchen cupboards I decided I wanted a more matt chalk paint for my cupboards, having read reviews on hemway I decided to try. I will firstly say don't expect the color to be exact, I ordered stone grey as I wanted something with a taupe stone base and it was nothing like it as it definitely has a blue tone to it which was absolutely no good for its purpose. Having said that I found a piece of furniture to use it and it's quality is the best I've tried with no brush marks! I have now purchased the corn white and am hoping it's going to be suitable however I am going to mix the 2 to hopefully get a perfect shade.Picture of nearly finished TV unit, just 2 light coats and nearly done. I will also add the drying time is very quick!

Won't buy again
Bought this to revamp some old pine bedside cabinets. Sadly it was a complete waste of time. As soon as you try to wipe down the units the paint comes away, I spilt my cuppa and didn't notice I'd missed a bit so next morning had a dry tea stain, as soon as I gave it a good wipe I could see the natural wood coming through. I'm now going to have to take it all back down to the pine and rethink it, good news though is because its so easy to remove it shouldn't take me long! Lovely colour just a shame it won't stay on the unit
