Excellent affordable toy and tangible manipulative maths tool for kinaesthetic and tactile understanding of number
These are excellent affordable tools for helping student understand number in a tactile form, from basic counting, sorting, understanding number bonds and fractions, they are an excellent manipulative toolkit for any educator or parents 'box of tricks'. Ok, the Learning Resources Mathlink Cubes Box set at double the price IS better quality/colours, better fit and security for poor fine motor skills and has more activities included but if you just need some basic linking cubes these do the job. My 4 year old and 1 year old played with their set all the time (still do) especially in reference to CBeebies Numberblocks, the one year old waving them about like small world toys, pushing together and separating (great for fine motor skills) and my 4 year old in creating the characters and understanding simple addition, subtraction and number bonds. Now my eldest is 5 and my youngest about to turn 2 we use the recently acquired better quality box set at home and keep these (still in great condition) for their busy bags out and about and they still love them but certainly prefer the brighter colour boxset at home but at the end of the day they do the same job if it's down to price. I first came across how brilliant these were when mentoring one of my form students with additional needs through some maths class work that was particularly challenging, as these help to visualise number and by using colour to add on, divide, sort or group together they help students who need a kinaesthetic (doing) or tactile (feeling texture or pieces) approach to learning to better understand certain processes. As such I highly recommend them to any teacher, parent or care giver looking to provide additional support of number and mathematical process plus excellent opportunities for fine motor skills too.

Excellent all round.
My grandson age 5 was thrilled to receive these. Plays with them alot of the time and doesn't get board. Supports what he is learning at school. His maths skills for his age are excellent. Would recommend.

Great
I bought these awhile ago for my six year old son as he was struggling a bit with maths. They have been great, especially for homeschooling during lockdown. They’ve definitely helped his understanding of numbers and sums. Good quality, durable and nice bright colours.

Absolutely brilliant!
My 5 and 2 years old absolutely love this learning and play resource. It spikes their imagination and aside from using it has a counting cubes, them make all sorts out of it. From robot, to spider to transformer or whatever they want to use it for. Really worth it. I would highly recommend.

Useful
Use it to teach math concepts, colours and numbers. Kids can be creative with it too to build items with it.

Not good quality
These Multilinks are a great learning through play resource. However, its bad quality really makes it unpleasant. Some of the colours do not link well so when a child creats something and the construction keeps on coming apart it really puts her/him off of using it. The material is thin plastic which is quite sharp at the edges which is not ideal.
