Lightweight, but only good for 1-2 people
I purchased this set just so I’d have something small to bring along on camping trips. I’ve mostly used it on my MSR single burner camp stove, which works just fine. I’ve also tried using it to cook over hot coals; but the pans are so small that it’s really hard to manage and easy to burn yourself. They definitely aren’t nonstick, but they aren’t completely awful either. After cooking some grilled cheese sandwiches in the pan there was plenty of burnt on cheese left over, so I just poured in some water and and let it simmer over the hot coals for a bit; then it was fairly easy to scrape off. The little sponge and wooden spoon they give you are a nice gift, but overall the spoon is a little too short to safely keep your hand away from the heat, and the sponge is very squishy and not good for scraping at stuck food. Another issue I had was the handles of the pan. Initially when they came they were fairly tight and seemed stable, but after the first time being heated the metal must have softened and they flop all over now. I somewhat solved this by attaching carabiners around the handles, but in a perfect world there would be a way to latch them together once opened. All in all, it’s a reasonable cooking set for 1 or 2 people. Especially for the price. There’s things that could definitely be improved, but if you’re looking for a simple and lightweight set, you could do worse. But by no means underestimate how small these are. You can barely fit one piece of regular bread into the pan, so you’ll be cooking one thing at a time.

An excellent value for the price
This is a great little set! One of the things I love most about it is that the Wealers Wood Stove (link below) fits perfectly inside the inner pot of this set, with just enough room for the stove's mesh bag, the little lid still fits the pot! It's like they were made for each other. We have to remove the small plastic bowls, the collapsible ladle and the wooden spoon that come with the set, but that's no problem since we have other bowls, etc. already. When packed, there's an empty space inside the stove that we fill with some tinder and a box of matches. When it's time to boil some water or fry something, we pull out the stove, quickly forage for a few twigs, start a tiny fire, and within a few minutes can have a rolling boil or tasty fry-up.Even without the stove along, the pots are still a great set, quite small, but robust and well-made. A great size for small meals for 1 or 2 campers, this set would be stretched to handle much more capacity, but for the price it's an excellent buy. We used a small rubber band for each pot, to hold the halves of the handles together, never had any problem with them, and the plastic knob on the lid never really got that hot.As well as on our stove, we used these over an open flame, being careful not to let the plastic part of the handle melt. The pots do get carbonized on the outside, but since they're already black anodized to start with, you don't have to scrub very much (we use a tiny piece of steel wool) before they're clean enough to return to their little bag.Very happy with this little set. Great beginner set, and a great value.
I bought this for my daughter to have her own set and when all is said and done, not a bad product at all. They did stay nice and compact and made life easier for me and my 7 year old daughter on our backpacking trip. Cooked food/boiled water well and fast for us, plus they are very light weight. I did not use the bowls it came with, they looked a little smaller than I would have liked so I took my other ones. A few minor things I did not like about it. First, the bottom of the pot stuck to the bag after using and is now all snagged and unraveling. No big deal though since my daughters pack has a spot that almost looks like it was made for the set and fit perfectly in. It was also hard to keep the handles sticking out while cooking, they kept folding in and got hot and started to melt. The knob on the lid could be a little bigger too. I would recommend it for anyone who is a beginner like my daughter is, and does not want to spend big bucks.

Durable, Lightweight, Easy to Clean!
After shopping around Amazon, trying to find the right cooking set for my backpacking needs I decided to go with this OuterEQ set! I used it this past weekend while backpacking 4 days and 3 nights, I am very happy with the overall quality of the cooking pot and the dish or plate it comes with, both have handles so you don't burn yourself! I used this set with my Primus cooker attachment, which fits onto a fuel can, I adjusted the flame just right so cleaning afterward was very easy! The bottom of the pot did not get black burn marks on the bottom at all (surprising really). For $15 you really cannot go wrong, when comparing this to other sets which are more than double the price, you find the same if not better quality for a lesser price! The reviews when I bought this were not very helpful, so I went with my gut feeling and purchased this anyway, as an avid buyer of high/good quality camping gear, I can truly say this set is worth it! And if it isn't for you, then return it, simple as that! I would definitely recommend this OuterEQ 8 pc cooking set to anyone in the market looking to buy!

Great for hiking if you are going to just be ...
Great for hiking if you are going to just be cooking for yourself. If you are going to be taking it to the campsite to cook for more than 2 people then this set is way too small. The plastic bowls that it comes with are useless. The surface appears to be non stick but I had some issues with food sticking to the pan while making pancakes over a small fire. I emphasize small fire because it wasnt an issue with the food burning to the pan because of too much heat. there was just a 1 inch diameter spot towards the outer rim of the pan that everything sticks to. Must be a small inconsistency in the finish. I will use this again on future hiking trips to use over a small fuel stove, but its not practical for a family sized campfire cookout.
