The original battery had been sitting idle for nearly 4 years. It would still take a charge but would only last about 30 minutes. The new battery provides nearly 4 hours of useful life and has proved extremely useful during road trips away from an outlet. Our use seldom exceeds 4 hours and the original battery does provide a 30 minute cushion or backup. Should that situation change, I will purchase the new extended battery.

Battery lasts
For the price I was scared of possible bad battery life. It lasts right to spec. We have had it for almost 4 months and it is still working as when we first got it.
