For my friends newborn, everyone should get these. Otherwise the babies scratch their face, with their sharp nails that you shouldn't cut until they are a bit older. One of those things all new parents need, but only for a few weeks or a month. And this is but one of the many things....

Decent quality

Decent to slightly average quality cotton. Large in size. 4 months plus but exceptionally large on the wrist, keep falling off. Not suitable for newborn.

very Good. We have a 4 month old who scratches her head at night despite having the hand covering on her grow but when we put the mittens over these they stay on all night and prevent scratching.

The hem doesn't look like the one in the picture, so I'm holding back a star. Bought them for a friend. She's a seamstress, so I have no doubt that she'll fit some elastic around the hem if they're not tight enough. I keep hearing that people use socks instead of mittens. That's great, but socks come off too, and if they don't, then they're probably too tight. Mittens worked fine for both my kids. Also, there's a comment here about not being allowed to cut a baby's nails. Not so. You peel the tips off gently or press the finger pad down and take really good care to clip them safely. I would generally do it while they were asleep. Yes, they'll still occasionally scratch themselves, but that's what swaddles and mittens are for.

Good mits for baby

Turned up and they are huge so not for newborn like it states. I could almost fit my hand inside these mitts. I got a refund straight away but don't buy unless they are for a child or small handed adult.

Soft, reasonable size. Haven’t tried them on the baby yet but they do feel good.
