Losers: Part II

Holy shit Batman. I don’t even know what to say about this book. This series really. Because damn this book hit me on so many levels. I’ve seriously loved all of Harley’s other work and this series was no different, but this one honestly one was so personal for me. I’m not sure I’ve related to a series as much as this one. So, so many of the characters traumas were reflections of my own life and my exploration of my sexuality as a senior in high school with parents who disapproved of my “unsuitable” suitors who had sketchy home lives. My life took a radical turn my senior year and much like Jess, I had the grades, had the pageants, all the things and they were never enough for my folks so they pushed me away. I also drove a souped up El Camino, so the boys even felt like part of my story. Of course there’s a lot more to my story I could write my own book about but let’s not have a therapy session in a review lol all that to say this series was so freaking good. Almost cathartic for me. The spice was unmatched 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️+5 as it touched on SO many kinks and fantasies yet somehow managed to feel realistic. I felt like it was a great representation of BDSM (from what little I know. The character development was great as we get to see Jess fully come into her own from being a total bully bitch in the first two books to being unashamed of what and who she wants. The boys face their fears, and support her and each other no matter what. The dialogue was super, and the flashbacks really bring everything into perspective for all the characters. Overall it was a wonderfully written book. A HEA for all involved. It’s only january but I feel like this series will be a top read for this year for me.

must read
The ability to create an entire world that feels safe, erotic, captivating, engrossing, freeing, is truly beautiful. From the first time Jessica is introduced to the present feels like a whole new person, yet at the same time, it’s like nothing has changed. Her determination to make something of herself while simultaneously freeing herself of the limitations of society “norms” and the fear of being judged pushes her to try things she didn’t even know she wanted. The individual growth, emotionally and mentally, from Jessica, Manson, Jason, Lucas, and Vincent made them stronger together. There is a special bond between them that no one could take away. The love, affection, care, support, and trust felt natural. Being able to have five main characters and make them completely unique was incredibly executed. The undertones and depictions brought everything to life and I felt enraptured in their world.“A sad person knows what another sad person looks like,” I said. I dared to reach out, brushing my fingers along her cheek to tuck a stray lock of blonde hair behind her ear. Goosebumps prickled over her arms, and my eyes widened. “I hear it in your voice. I see it in your eyes. I feel it when I look at you. You deserve to be happy, but you’ll never find it with the people you’re choosing.”“Where the h ell was there room for the soft boys of the world? Where was there safety for gentleness? Why did we all need to become warriors, to be soldiers, when we were still barely more than kids.”“Jason and I used to watch the stars out this window,” Vincent said, as I traced my finger over the heart. “It always made our problems feel smaller, somehow. Like in all that vastness of space, we’re just tiny motes of dust with tiny problems.”“The right person will change you for the better,” he said. “Sometimes, it’s a temporary change — someone comes into your life for a time and tweaks things a bit before they move on. But sometimes, it’s permanent. Things in your life shift around just right and they fit in like the spot’s been waiting for ‘em.”“It had taken me a long time to realize that “home,” to most people, represented a place of comfort and safety. Home was a place people wanted to return to, not one they dreaded or feared. I’d had to build my own home, my own family. I’d crafted it in the only way I knew how; it was messy and strange, but it was mine and no one could take it away from me.”“Maybe some wounds never healed. They needed to be tended forever, treated gently. It was hard to accept that when it felt like admitting defeat. But shyt, even a victor in battle could come away from it wounded.”

Losers 2
3.5-4⭐️ This duet was very interesting. First off, I loved how the story ended. It was perfect for the story and the characters. I truly loved everyone in the group and how they all grew and changed. One question... what the heck happened to Kyle? He just disappeared lol I deducted stars because this book is very character heavy and not plot heavy in my opinion. I felt like the story didn't move. I love love LOVE some good spice. A lot of smexy time. But even I skimmed a little through the book during some sex scenes and random other scenes simply because it wasn't getting anywhere. I wanted to what would happen with Manson's dad, Alex, Nate, etc. It took forever! When the action in that regards finally happened, it was so good! And when the group finally finalized where they all stand with each other in the end was good too. Overall a good book and very interesting with the exploration of BDSM. Just wish it was more plot driven and not just character driven

had me on the edge of my seat! 😱💔
Wow, Losers: Part 2 had me on the edge of my seat! 😱💔 The emotional depth and tension are through the roof. Sloane and Raze’s tumultuous relationship is both heart-wrenching and passionate, and LaRoux dives deep into their complex dynamics with raw honesty. 🌪️💘The cliffhanger ending left me desperate for the next book! 😵📖 Plus, the audiobook narrated by Jaclyn Kelso and J. Tipstone was fantastic, bringing the story to life with incredible emotion. 🎧✨If you’re into dark, intense romances with high stakes, you need to read this book! 🌟🔥Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)Narrator Feedback J. Tipstone & Jaclyn Kelso bring the story to life with a performance that captures the emotional intensity of the narrative. Their delivery enhances the drama and tension, though there are moments where more tonal variation could have improved the experience.

more than expected!
When I finished reading The Dare, if you had told me by the near end of Losers PTII I’d be on the verge of happy tears, I would of thought you crazy. This book is the perfect ending to the story of Jessica, Manson, Lucas, Vincent and Jason. The parts that we’ve come to expect in this storyline are everything and more - there is some spicy, spicy scenes! It is the story between the sex that really shines, though. The development of the characters and the interconnected story line as well as the individual relationships is amazing. To be able to write such a dynamic that leaves you thinking “huh, it works, that’s pretty cool” as opposed to being put off by it is the absolute magic of this story. I kinda wanna be BFFs with all of them - I just enjoyed their stories and personalities so much. Fantastic read!

Perfektes Ende

È andato ben oltre a quanto mi aspettavo. Davvero, consigliatissimo.
