Very nice owl that is very motion sensitive
The owl looks nice and my kid immediately named it "Pokpok". Wasn't hard to mount. I charged it over USB, not sure how long it would take to charge to full with just solar. The motion sensing is very sensitive, if there's anything nearby like tree branches or string lights that might move in the wind they will set it off and it might be activating all the time and draining battery. Haven't seen the raccoons come back since we got Pokpok, but I won't know for sure until the winter.

Piece of Junk
The nose fell off. Less then 90 days the owl doesn't work anymore. Unfortunately, the window for me to return it has past. The company refuses to return my money or replace with a new one. I guess the owl and this company outsmarted me for almost $100.00. Would not buy another one or deal with this company again

The Rabbits Loved It
4 stars for arriving in operational order and working as advertised, but even with the shrieking sound it did nothing more than attract more rabbits to my yard. The ground squirrels seemed to enjoy hanging out with it too. Oh, and if I put it too close to the bird bath it scared away the birds. Your results may vary.

The Mike Tyson of patio owls
INTENDED PURPOSE:I live in a loft, and I am a rooftop gardener. I have a fairly large crop of vegetables, and I also live in a neighbourhood filled with these dang brown doves that love to eat my crops. They'd killed two basil plants and a pepper plant and enough was enough. I needed muscle. And I got it.REVIEWThis thing... Where do I start? This owl is tough af. I live on the third floor in a loft, so the ceilings in our building are pretty high, putting me high off the ground. I was struggling to install this thing on my deck railing, and not once, but TWICE, this thing fell three stories. Both times, the owl was decapitated. The second time I retrieved it, I had to actually tighten some screws, it was so badly beaten up. I figured at this point, it probably wouldn't function anymore, but might still serve as a deterrent to those obnoxious doves. But once I got his screws tightened and his head recapitated, I charged him up and he worked perfectly. He's still working perfectly a week after his falls. This thing is the Mike Tyson of plastic owls. And he looks pretty real. In fact, he's startled ME several times when I've been gardening and caught him looking at me out of the corner of my eye. It's not that he looks like an actual owl, I mean he's plastic. But a quick glance in his direction and he does look enough like a live bird that those doves haven't been back since I finally got him situated.

Doesn't scare birds
This was put outside and within a few hours a bird was sitting within a foot of it watching as the owl turned it's head, squawked and flashed it's eyes. It looks nice enough we didn't return it so the owl can be in the front yard.

Great way to scare mockingbird
I was having difficulty this spring with a mockingbird who loved roosting in the tree right outside my bedroom window. I couldn't sleep with his chirping all night and neither could my neighbor. I did some research and found that they are scared off by owl or hawk decoys. I put this on on top of a dowl underneath the tree and sucess the first night! After a few nights the owl had done his job and didn't even need it anymore!! I tucked him away for next spring as I am certain we will have more mockingbirds next year!
