McCall's Quilting Print Magazine

Great magazine with a good variety of quilt projects. Projects are rated as to how easy or difficult the project is

I love that the patterns are pretty easy to enlarge to bed quilts and are well written.

I think this is one of the best quilting magazines available nowadays. Each issue offers both simple and more challenging quilt patterns. The photos are engaging, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The projects are available in different sizes -- from table toppers to king-size quilts. It's fun to look through even if you aren't actually going to make the quilts...though, I must say, there's at least one pattern I would like to make in every issue!

I'm a mid-40's guy and order this for my mother as a gift. I don't have a personal opinion about the magazine but, according to her, it is definitely five star worthy.

It took 6 months to receive the first issue.

I enjoy this magazine but wish there were more selections for the beginning quilter. Most of the patterns offered are for intermediate or advanced. I did find one for the confident beginner and ordered 17 fat quarters to make it. Instead of ordering McCall's kit, I searched on the internet and found a company (The Fat Quarter Shop) that sold the fat quarter package for less than 1/2 the price of McCall's kit. Look for the fabric pattern manufacturer and search from that info.

If I only had the time to do everything I like that is in Quilting magazine! I wish there were more things geared to beginners. However, it is a good resource for places to shop online and in person. I have bookmarked on my computer many of the places that advertise in the magazine and go to them when I need something I can't get locally.
