Grandson wanted to make his own slides so he wasn't t impressed and was generally disappointed with both microscope which he said didn't t work , and slides.

what a waist of money .i brought these slides for my Grandson, i saw the look of dissatisfaction gradually appear across his face has he changed the slides .He said rubbish and threw them aside . I then took a look at them myself and immediately saw the problem .Apart from the slides being contaminated with foreign matter other than the subject material there was so many air bubbles under the protective film that it made the subject obscure .

Very important to note that the slides are smaller than the traditional type, measuring 21mm x 61mm and can therefore be very fiddly and difficult for small fingers to maneouvre accurately or easily upon the microscope table beneath the lens.. Actula quality of the prepared items can be very, VERY poor with lots of bubbles and foreign objects inside. It's very hit-and-miss. Some slides were excellent, many were poor and many were unusuable.They come stored in a card liner inside the box but because of their dimensions will NOT fit into the type of box used for standard microscope slides. The slides are NOT glass and so will not shatter if dropped on a hard surface. Each set comprises the same selection of objects but, of course, each specimen is different. Each slide is labelled and (nice touch) has an outline drawing of the subject from which the sample has been taken. Mounting quality is quite good in that the samples are well sealed, but the intrusion of so many unwanted foreign oibjects makes them a very poor buy.2 stars because some slides were usable, but deducted 3 stars because so many were useless.

Good selection of slides, kids are fascinated

I gave these to my 6 year old for Christmas and he is loving looking at these under his microscope, completely captivated. I am happy that they are plastic rather than glass so he can keep them in his room.

You should have made it known that the slides are not standard size.
