Boulder X Men's Mountain shoes

The toes were a little tight to start but, the wet,wear tight and walk treatment worked wonders. The fit and finish on these shoes is very nice and I look forward to beating the heck out of them hiking in the Rockies

A little small for me, but a size up fixed the problem. I know some people are saying that “these shoes are supposed to fit like that,” but with a Vibram sole, I think they should fit more like a shoe than climbing shoes.

This shoe has been around in different colors for almost 15 years. It is designed for a very specific purpose: approach. Send the shoe succeeds as an approach shoe! Comfortable, sticky, durable as hell! It's a little on the heavy side, and I would not want to climb anything over 5.7a in it for too long. Everything in life is about trade-offs. The weight adds durability. Because it comes in European sizes, I can actually get a perfect fit for my weird feet (EU has much smaller increments in size, hence more precise sizing).

Light and look durable. Fit is tight around width. They taper forward. I ordered a 44 for my 10 1/2 size foot and it is very tight but wearable. I think they will break in ok and stretch after use. No issues with bites anywhere.

Tried on a pair of size 44 in a store, they felt OK but too short. Store did not have 44.5, so I ordered from Amazon. Wore them around house for an hour, thought them OK. Then went hiking and quickly felt they were stretching out, felt so wide my feet wallow around in them, making them feel very insecure on steep terrain. Have had Sportivas in the past that were a good fit and did not stretch out. I'm very unhappy with these and plan to complain to Amazon and see if I can get a refund even though I have worn them outside.
