Magic Painting: Farm Fun (Award Magic Painting)

Perfect magic painting book for my 3 year old grandson. He loves these books and loves farm themes so it is the perfect gift for him. All I need to do is put an old cloth down for spills and a very small pot of water and he's off. I've told him to dip his brush into the water, then onto the kitchen roll, then onto the page. It makes the pictures a bit neater and less water soaked. He's always so pleased with what he had done and it's something once set up he can do without support.

What a disappointment! Not only are the colours very poor, but the pictures are printed back to back on a page, so wetting one side - even sparingly (and what 2- or 3-year old can be sparing with it?) - ruins the picture on the other side. Not a patch on the magic painting books WE had as children!Don't buy this. Complete waste of £3.

Bought for my granddaughter (2.5yrs) as I thought it would be less messy than actual paint. She quite enjoyed it, but I was running backwards and forwards to refresh water, as it changed colour very quickly. Also, the colours were limited. She did get a green tractor, but the horse and sheep were blue! I did wonder whether aqua pens would be better.

Sons birthday present. Shame it doesn’t come with brush. Book wasCompleted in one day. The colours do run into each other.

Should have listened to my own advice . Having had another ,far superior , magic painting book my 2 year old granddaughter was less than impressed with this mush of grey/green. Dont waste your money or raise the little ones expectations .

My granddaughter loves magic painting books and this was a very good one with lovely clear pictures. Well worth the money.

Didn't really find them to be mess free. As soon as the water touches the paper, the paint comes out and makes a mess. I tried using a brush and a wet cloth and, both times, the colours just mixed together and everything turned brown.

Not a bad book. The colours are a bit dark because of the way they are added. And there is a lot of white bits with no colour.Overall not bad but not the best
