I am reviewing the 111 model and cannot say how much these comments apply to the other models which have somewhat different shapes. This flask is very light in weight and has a body made of seamless cold-formed (not extruded) aluminium, avoiding the raised join around the middle of the old GI style canteen. This means it has to be made of soft, ductile aluminium with a low alloying content. It also means that the bottle will be vulnerable to scratching and denting which is mitigated by the fabric cover. However, there still has to be a join between the bottle and the neck assembly which seems to be pressed on. I would guess that reviews mentioning leakage would have reference to this join which might leak from faulty manufacture or, more likely, from deformation induced by dropping or rough handling. If treated with care this should give good service.

Please, please please be careful. I have never seen this awful quality for decades.It was the very first time to twist the cap to open and I realised that it was very stiff. And all of the sudden, the chain torn off from the cap easily and further more, a should-be-empty bottle contains some residue as you can see on the picture.There are 2types of residues one comes from a milling aluminium process and the other plastic residue comes from the plastic socket? which is a partner to the metal cap. The cap and the plastic socket seems to have wrong size/design which causes friction and end up curving out the latter residue.It is an absolute disappointment.I also bought other aluminium LAKEN a year ago and it also reminds me of poor quality as well.Now I understand the old saying, "Look before you leap". And I can see the company's future....

Bottle is alright quality, but the biggest problem is the lid. The chain snapped the first time I used it, and because of this, there is a piece of the chain that sometimes gets caught in the screw of the bottle. If this happens, it can appear as though the bottle is closed when it really isn't resulting in leakage.

Do you like the taste of hundreds of tiny shards of metal? Then this product is for you! Wash it out once? Twice? Three times... and you'll still get that scratchy metal goodness.

Viele schreiben in ihre Rezension negative Dinge, was ich absolut nicht verstehen kann. Es ist absolut robuste Trinkflasche die richtig Dicht hält. Man sollte halt auch nur wasser einfüllen! Auf jedenfall für jeden Wanderer der einen klassischen stil mag, kann ich diese Wasserflasche nur empfehlen!

Las he comprado para regalar a mis hijos y sobrinos( caqui 111) y he de decir que tengo pensado adquirir dos más,una para mi y otra para mi mujer.La cantimplora tiene un acabado precioso,de calidad,de mucha calidad,con su tapón de aluminio,su mosquetón para enganchar en la mochila,la funda tiene en el lateral una buena cremallera para facilitar su extracción,tiene una cadenita de buena calidad que va unida al tapón,pero si tiras de ella con algo de fuerza puede llegar a soltarse pero con unos pequeños alicates se vuelve a colocar,esta hecha para sostener el tapón no para colgar la cantimplora.resaltar que está hecha en España.
