Can i use it for my 6 years old?

I suppose you can, but I think this rail guide is a good alternative instead of using the ones with the net that you have to stick in between the mattress and depends on how much your 6 yr old is moving while sleeping. That’s just my opinion. Also, as long as the child doesn’t toss and turn too much, it may work. We love our rail guard! Money we’ll spent.

Can it keep my dog from rolling off the bed?

It does, I bought it for my dog. She is 14 and has rolled off a few too many times. She loves on the bump, cozying up against it. She hasn’t fallen off since getting this bump.
