A Cozy Night's Sleep, Guaranteed
I've recently purchased the Homefront Electric Blanket for my single bed, and I couldn't be happier with my investment. As the chilly evenings have arrived, this blanket has been an absolute lifesaver. The blanket is incredibly easy to use and fits my mattress perfectly thanks to the elasticated skirt. The heat-up time is impressively fast, so I can enjoy a toasty bed within minutes. I love the multiple heat settings, allowing me to customize the temperature to my exact preference. One of the best things about this blanket is its safety features. I feel completely at ease knowing that it's designed to be safe for all-night use. Plus, it's machine washable, making it easy to keep clean and hygienic. Overall, if you're looking for a reliable and comfortable electric blanket to keep you warm during the colder months, I highly recommend the Homefront Electric Blanket. It's a fantastic product that provides excellent value for money.

Good quality and well distributed warmth
I don't know what switched in me recently, but after 40 years of English winters and freezing mattresses I decided to buy my first electric mattress cover. I chose this product based on its decent volume of high ratings and its pricing being about middle of the range. I read some of the comments, including negative ones, and decided to give it a go. Before I go in to the details of the product I feel it is relevant to understand a bit about me and the cold. I detest that first 10 minutes of getting in to bed on to a cold mattress. And I also note that my feet are often cold throughout the night during winter. You kind of get used to it and almost forget how miserable it is after a while. Our bed is next to a largely windowed wall, and I have the cold side! I occasionally suffer from insomnia and I was also wondering how much low temperatures contribute to it. After experimenting with the cover I now switch it on to level 1 (of 3) on my side - my wife likes level 2 or 3 initially. This mattress has dual controls - so you can control things independently of your partner - which is essential unless you happen to be identical with regard to the cold. We are not though. We switch it on about 10 minutes before bedtime. That is enough - others say 30 minutes which I do not think is required. For me level 1 is a bit like a normal temperature mattress - i.e. not warm/not cold, just neutral. On a cold night I will just leave it like this all night. It is more than enough - and the heat is more focused on the feet - perfect! Warm feet somehow make you feel more healthy. I imagine that you could save on fuel bills by turning the heating down and leaving the cover switched on all night. My wife just switches it off after half an hour. The control has a warm light on when it is on. It is easy to locate and control in the dark. There is a certain amount of commenting on the plastic connector on the mattress cover at around the upper arm level each side - which is where the cable-entry point is. It is quite thick and it is not comfortable to lie on. They could do with being in each top corner where you are not going to lie. It is slightly disappointing but does not really impact either of us too much. I was a bit confused as to which side was up on the cover. If you do it one way the connector is less prominent - but I am not sure if I have got it upside down. I do not see how that matters though. I do not find the ribbed nature of the cover is that prominent either. I now do not even notice it under the sheet. The important thing is that it is a good quality, stretches over the mattress and fits well, does not move around, distributes warmth perfectly and has helped my sleep and battle against the English winter.

Good
Excellent product. Only had it for a week but best investment in 2026. On set 1, it's the right temperature for me.

Works well.
Excellent fit for a super king bed. Ideal the fact that you can have each half on the bed on/off or at different settings. Comfortable. Cannot feel it under the sheet. I was always anti electric blankets but this one has changed my opinion.

The duel controls on this seemed the perfect compromise as I can have my side as warm ...
i"ve been wanting an electric blanket for a while now because I've always suffered with the cold and takes me ages to warm up. Particularly when my partner insists on a light-weight duvet no matter the season because he's always warm. The duel controls on this seemed the perfect compromise as I can have my side as warm as I want and he can leave his turned off or low. Having only used it for a week now I can't say how long it will last but so far so good. Its a reasonable price compared to many duel controlled electric blankets and is extremely simple to set up and use. It has a functional but slightly cheap feeling fitted valance that tucks all the way around the mattress. The heating wires inside the blanket were more noticeable than I expected and I'm not convinced it would be comfortable to lay on with just a sheet over so I used a thin mattress protector then a sheet over the top and its now fine - can't feel the wires at all. Temperature wise it seems to work best switching on to setting 3 (the control goes from off, 1,2 and then 3 as maximum) about 25-30 minutes before bed. You do want the duvet covering it completely in order for the heat to really build up for when you get into bed. This works perfectly for warming up and makes me feel like I don't need the heating on in the room at all. One of my favourite aspects of the blanket is that it is noticeably warmer in the feet zone which is where I feel the cold most. Once I've warmed up I usually turn it down to setting 2 if reading for a bit or off when going straight to sleep - it stays warm for a good 5-10 minutes after switching off which is usually all I need to drift off. The wire's that attach to the blanket on each side are under the pillow area but not right in the corners so you do feel the attachment if you put your hand under the pillow. I find with the mattress protector on top it doesn't bother me. This electric blanket does take a while to heat up (definitely more than 5-10 minutes like some you can buy) and it doesn't have any kind of timer function. So far this really hasn't bothered me and certainly not enough to make me want to spend £100+ on a fancier version. I would say I can't really see the point of setting '1' as its just not even noticeably warm. Despite all these things I'm very happy with the purchase and so long as you know what to expect its a good and effective blanket.
