Review: Absolutely stunning - This deck is utterly beautiful. The gentle watercolour style and pastel colours gives a real dreamy quality to your readings. There is lots of animal imagery for those wanting to avoid the archetypal characters you typically find in rider Waite inspired decks. I would say this deck is more for confident readers as there’s not a lot in the artwork that acts as visual cues to direct your reading. As a result I’ve not used them as much as I thought I would have, and would never use them to read in front of others - because I get stumped! The book is lovely, and explains the artists choices in terms of imagery for some of the cards which is helpful. The box is huge, which is a down side for me as I usually like something more compact and portable. The card stock is also a little on the thin side. But other than that, a real work of art Review: The Linestrider Tarot – #Review #Occult #WhiteMagic #Paganism by Tiffany Belle Harper - Earlier this week I treated myself to The Linestrider Tarot via desertcart. As a tarot lover I enjoy changing my deck periodically as ‘I find’ it helps to rejuvenate tired patterns. Something about the illustrations compelled me to choose this pack of cards. I’m not disappointed. They’re just stunning. So feminine … delicate yet precise, with intuitive deliverance. Combing nature and our animal kingdom with astrology/numerology. Each card has a selection of plants and herbs that relate – making these great for paganistic and Wicca ways too. I love the minimalist layout i.e, white background – the reverse being a power blue die splash effect. The cards are smaller than many modern day packs. I like this concept. A piece of art for self-awareness
This tarot deck was my very first, and I'm in love with it. The design is beautiful, and the cards easy to handle once you're used to them (though I think they'll wear and tear quickly if I'm not careful enough!). I also really enjoy the book and its approach, explanations, and plants/astrology/numerology references. A full and pleasant experience. And all the readings I've done are pretty accurate and very helpful.

Stunning deck and great for beginners!
Beautiful deck, the minimalism is so great and comforting, the colours are brilliant, such a bright and playful deck, it doesn't feel too overwhelming either like other decks can be sometimes, the book that comes with it is stocked full of info that you can relate and reference back to the rider waite deck too which is nice and convenient. Only real problem I have is that the cards are a lot bigger than I expected, can be quite hard to shuffle, but I guess I can forgive the size when the art is this good!

One word... Stunning
What a beautiful deck of cards! I chose this deck because I was trying to find a deck which I could connect with. I am an artist, I do a lot of drawings and painting and this deck is right up my street! I am very impressed with the box that they came in with the book and cards neatly packed away inside. Everything about The Linestrider Tarot deck is truly amazing and I can't stop looking at them! Which is what it's all about I guess! My only negative comment would be the thickness of the cards, they are on the thin side, however these will be my special ones and just need handling with care. I will use my Ryder Waite deck as my every day ones.

A very pleasant accident indeed
I was only browsing and I unknowingly ordered this very late at night (I found out when I read the e-mail telling me the parcel had been dispatched). I had planned to return the deck, but after looking at a few more images on the internet I was very curious and opened the deck. I was ever so happy I did. The deck is much more artistic and beautiful then any of the images on the internet show. While there is a lot of white background an a limited palette on each card (which I like), the lines are crisper and the images have a subtle depth that can't be captured. I'm so delighted with the artwork. I'll be working with this in the future.

A lovely deck of cards
Beautiful artwork and I love the crisp, clean look with the white background. It makes the artwork really stand out and it’s easy to focus on the messages. The guidebook is wonderful, too. The cards shuffle easily with a glossy finish and I love the size of these.

Beautiful set of cards
These cards are fabulous. The artwork is intriguing and beautiful and personally o find them easy to use. A book is included to expand on the card meanings, all is presented in a lovely box and this would make for a great gift

Le soleil = the sun, the world = le monde... 😉❤💜💙💚💛🃏

Though I meant to by a different deck by the same person, I'm still happy with this purchase regardless. The deck is gorgeous and was worth it, either way.

Siolo Thompson’s Linstrider Tarot Deck will go down as one of the classics along with the Rider Waite-Smith (RWS), The Wild Unknown, & a few of the other more popular decks that are out there. Firstly, Thompson’s artwork features absolutely beautiful line-work with vividly exquisite watercolors. I found each image stunning, a & visual delight to inspect. Additionally, Thompson’s deck does not suffer the usual problem that most conventional contemporary minimalistic Tarot Decks do, as each individual cards imagery is representative of its true meaning. Now this isn’t to say that Thompson doesn’t take some liberties with a few Major & Minor Cards & there is a bit more nuance with the imagery of the Pip cards in comparison to Pamela Coleman Smith’s representations within the RWS (the Gold Standard of all Tarot Decks.) Nevertheless, the visual meanings of the cards are all strongly graphically represented, but sometimes they are subtly imbedded within the imagery of the art rather than just plain obvious like within the RWS. Nevertheless, it’s not a big deal and also not much of a hurdle for a Tarot newcomer to very simply manage overcoming. I’m so happy that Thompson decided to give illustrated meaning to the Pip Cards of The Minor Arcana. One of my pet peeves with any Tarot Deck is a lack of symbolism with the Pip Cards. A Tarot Deck Creator needs to establish their take & try to improve on all the of the cards of the Tarot. When I see only 5 Cups for The Five of Cups rather than a graphical representation of Loss, Grief, & Sorrow; I see it as laziness by the Illustrator. Not to mention, a disservice to the Querent, Reader, & Pamela Coleman Smith. Humans are very visual creatures & the Querent deserves better than just a a lazy depiction of a number of Cups, Wands, Swords, or Pentacles for the deep meaning of those cards. You can craft your story as to what that card is, but the Querent will never truly believe you as the Reader, unless they can see the imagery for themselves. So I feel good about any person new to Tarot purchasing this as their first deck. Especially with the magnetic closure box, immensely, impressive robust full color book that accompanies it. This Lindstrider Tarot Deck Set really is a one stop shop & true value for the price. Now for the one caveat which is a true & significant one. Yes the card stock used is subpar in comparison to everything else about this deck. My guess is that the manufacturer decided to put the production cost towards the book, box & vivid color printing but skimped on the card stock to keep prices down. I wish that there was a Premium Version that featured 350gsm Linen Finished or even better Sleek Gold Foil Matte Finished Plastic Cards, because I would gladly pay a higher price for that version. Nevertheless, contrary to what some critics here are saying, the cards are adequately durable enough for normal use & will patena with grace during your years of use. However if you’re using them Professionally at some shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans, then I could possibly see the Card Stock of this deck being a problem. My presumption is that most of the critics making a big deal about the card stock are doing so because everything else about the Linderstrider Deck is luxurious. Nevertheless, if this is a Tarot Deck you are interested in buying, I believe it offers a wonderful value for both Tarot beginners & vetrans alike. So feel free to add it to your online cart without reservations.
