Been using and buying advent calendars for more than 50 years. This is one of those (rare) gems, in which what is BEHIND the numbered window has a relationship to the illustration on the OUTSIDE of the window. I collect Advent calendars and my most favorite ones are the sort where the pictures revealed daily are part of the overall image and not just some random Christmas symbol. This calendar shows a wonderful home full of life and interesting people and each day reveals a little more about this family!

This is a really fun and different Advent Calendar. It shows realistic and humorous family activities. What's behind the windows as you open them is more interesting than the typical candle, toy and such in many other Advent Calendars.

This is a beautiful advent calendar. But it is coated with loose, very fine glitter that tenaciously clings to every surface it touches. I spent 40 minutes cleaning my kitchen floor fruitlessly trying to mop up glitter dust. And this was just from opening the package. I threw out the calendar on the day that it arrived because I didn't want to spend all of Advent chasing glitter. I've purchased Advent calendars, many with glitter, for decades, and I've never seen anything like this. A frustrating, disappointing experience.

This was a beautiful way to count down to Christmas. I loved it.
